FanRuan has always been committed to providing better services for customers. To meet customers' changing needs and continuously improve the practicality and adaptability of FineBI, FanRuan releases new versions of FineBI.
FineBI versions consist of major versions and minor versions.
Major versions: for example, 4.0, 5.1, and 6.0
Minor versions: for example, 6.0.5, 6.0.7, and 6.0.9. You can locate the FineBI version more accurately based on the JAR package time.
Log in to the FineBI system as the admin and choose System Management > Registration Management > Version Information to view the project version number.
FanRuan's products have constantly been updated and iterated to meet customers' new needs and improve some functions of earlier versions. Currently, you can upgrade FineBI through the following methods.
Upgrade Within 6.1.x (Minor Versions)
FineBI is continuously upgraded within 6.1.x (minor versions).
For example, FineBI is upgraded from 6.1.1 to 6.1.2.
FineBI of the 6.1 version is deployed via the O&M platform. The upgrade of FineBI within minor versions is also completed by image replacement via the O&M platform, requiring no manual JAR file replacement.

Upgrade from 6.0.x to 6.1
FineBI is upgraded from 6.0.x to 6.1.x.
For example, FineBI is upgraded from 6.0.9 to 6.1.0.
Contact technical support to help you upgrade FineBI Enterprise from 6.0 to 6.1.
Fill out FineBI 6.1 Deployment and Upgrade Assessment Form for application. After evaluating your application, the FineBI upgrade team will contact you in time.
Upgrade Within 6.0.x (Minor Versions)
FineBI is continuously upgraded within 6.0.x (minor versions).
For example, FineBI is upgraded from 6.0.4 to 6.0.9.

Upgrade of Versions Later than 6.0.5
Upgrade from 5.1.x to 6.0.x
FineBI is upgraded from one major version to another major version.
For example, FineBI is upgraded from 5.1 to 6.0.
5.X - 6.0.5 Upgrade Guide
1. The cross-version upgrade does not allow you to upgrade FineBI across two major versions at once.
For example, if you want to upgrade FineBI from 4.0 to 6.0, you need to first upgrade FineBI to 5.1 and then to 6.0.
2. If you have integrated FineReport with FineBI for use, read FineBI and FineReport Version Compatibility Instruction carefully before upgrade.
