After adding data under Data, you can edit, save, rename and delete it. You can also create new datasets and perform other operations.

    Functions

    Entering or Exiting Editing Interface

After adding data or going to the analysis subject, the system will automatically go to the data editing interface.

You need to click Save after editing. If the dataset is Spider, it is best to click Save and Update to update the data to the latest edited status.

If you click Exit and preview on the editing page and go to the preview page, you can click Edit to reenter the editing page of the table.

Note: You can open multiple editing pages of data tables simultaneously. If you want to switch tables, click the left directory.

    Copying the Dataset

Copy: Copy the table to the current analysis subject.

Copy to: Copy the table to other analysis subjects.

    Applying for Publication

You may have created many data tables in one subject. After creating a high-quality and reusable form, you can publish it separately to Public Data for others to use.

    For details, see Publishing Data.

    Notes

FineBI allows adding comments to data. You can input relevant information for record keeping.

After adding the comments, you can hover the cursor over the data table to view the comments.

    Deleting the Dataset

Note: Published self-service datasets cannot be deleted.

    Creating the Dataset

You can use the analyzed dataset within the subject as a data source to create a new dataset.

For example, to create a new dataset for RFM analysis table detailed data, the RFM analysis table detailed data that has already been analyzed many times will become the parent table of the new dataset.

    Updating Information

    Preview of Direct data

For Spider, there will be an additional Update Information in the preview interface compared to Direct data. You can update the extracted data here.

Note: Only performing Field Settings without other operations (such as Filter, Group Summary, Formula column and so on) will be automatically updated. A prompt will appear: Field selection only. Get the latest data automatically. No need to update.

Click Update now to get the latest data status.

Click Update with the Parent Table > OK. When the parent table of this data is updated, this data will also be updated to the latest status.

Click Not to Update with the Parent Table > OK. When the parent table of this data is updated, this data will not be updated with it. If the update frequency of this data is low, it is recommended to choose this option to save the system’s update resources.

    Viewing Data Status

You can view Data Status of self-service datasets above the data list.

For example, choose Not to Update with the Parent Table, then edit, save and update the data table in Public Data but not update it in the subject in My Analysis. Data Status will become: Related tables are set not to update with the parent. You can click view details to find out which table caused the update failure.
