1. After IT personnel has deployed FineBI, enterprise databases need to be connected to FineBI in Data Connection Management under System Management > Data Connection.

2. Frequently used database tables can be retrieved from databases in Data Directory.

3. Low-quality tables can be processed and edited in Indicator Center to create high-quality indicators and dimensions, and then republished to Data Directory.

4. After data preparation, IT personnel assigns business personnel permissions to directly use the data for data analysis.

In practice, business data is most commonly stored in databases and updated continuously. Establishing a connection between FineBI and a specific database enables FineBI to retrieve data from the database directly.

Data Directory serves as the repository for an enterprise’s or team’s shared data resources. It stores high-quality, frequently used tables for direct access by business personnel during analysis.

• IT personnel adds basic enterprise data directly from business databases to Data Directory.

• High-quality tables created by business personnel in data analysis can also be published to Data Directory after being reviewed by IT personnel.

Indicator Center, as a conversion mechanism, transforms the needs of IT personnel into a form that is easy for business personnel to understand and utilize, facilitating indicator management and maintenance for IT personnel while ensuring data consistency.

IT personnel can add tables from Data Directory into the analysis subject for further data processing and then republish the processed data to Data Directory.

After data preparation, relevant data permissions need to be granted to business personnel. With the permissions, business personnel can perform visual analysis in My Analysis using the processed base tables from Data Directory.
