7.0.12
2026-08-03
This update enhances the dynamic time configuration capabilities of the time filter component.
After selecting Show Time, you can further configure hours, minutes, and seconds when setting dynamic time, meeting more granular time filtering requirements.
You can configure Dynamic Time in the following two methods:
Current Time: You can filter data based on the real-time hour, minute, and second when the query is triggered.
Fixed Time: Based on the dynamic date, you can customize fixed hours, minutes, and seconds, for example, 08:00:00.
For example, you can dynamically filter data for today up to the current moment or every day at 08:00:00.
For details, see Time Filter Component.
This update optimizes the troubleshooting experience when you perform integrated analysis with direct-connected Excel data and database tables.
When associating, merging (Join), or appending (using Union All) direct-connected Excel files with database tables, the system first writes the Excel data into temporary or entity tables in the corresponding database of the current data connection.
For the following exception scenarios that may occur during integrated analysis, you can quickly identify issues based on the prompts:
The database user lacks permissions for table creation, table deletion, data writing, or data query;
The uploaded Excel data exceeds the system's row limit;
The current database does not support direct-connected integrated analysis ith Excel;
Temporary table reopen issues occur in databases such as MySQL and GBase 8a;
Excel text field values exceed the default character length;
Insufficient available nodes in Doris or StarRocks cause table creation failures.
This optimization allows users and you (the admin) to more quickly determine the root cause of issues and troubleshoot based on information such as data connections, database users, and permission types, reducing the usage and maintenance costs of direct-connected Excel integrated analysis.
This update enhances the configuration capabilities for date fields in materialized acceleration.
When you configure materialization plans, date fields in dimensions and filter conditions now allow you to select the following grouping granularities: Year, Year-Quarter, Year-Month, and Year-Month-Day.
You can choose the appropriate time granularity for materialization based on actual analysis scenarios, such as calculating annual sales by year or monthly sales trends by year-month, meeting materialization acceleration needs for different time granularity.
For details, see Materialized View Acceleration.
This update optimizes the calculation logic for dataset activity.
Previously, when you exported dashboards via FineBI dashboard export APIs, the export action was not included in the activity calculation of related datasets. For dashboards primarily exported via third-party system APIs, their associated datasets might be marked as inactive due to a lack of direct access in FineBI over a long period.
After this update, when calling APIs to export dashboards as Excel, PDF, images, etc., the system includes the export action in the data access activity calculation. Datasets involved in the exported content will participate in the activity status judgment.
This optimization enables more accurate identification of actual dataset usage, preventing datasets still being used via APIs from being mistakenly marked as inactive, ensuring normal operation in API export scenarios.
For details, see Single Table Update of Self-Service Datasets.
FineBI provides two types of analysis subjects:
Self-Service Analysis Subject: Extracted data is used by default. Full capabilities for editing data and using DEF/Reference/WINDOW functions are provided.
Standard Analysis Subject: Only direct-connected data is used. Data editing functions or Excel upload capabilities are not supported.
For details about the capability differences between the two types of analysis subjects, see Analysis Subject Overview.
Business personnel often find it difficult to distinguish between the applicable scenarios for the two types of analysis subjects and may make incorrect selections. Additionally, you cannot restrict the types of subjects certain users can create based on organizational management requirements.
Therefore, FineBI adds the Attribute Setting of Analysis Subject permission to control whether users can create self-service analysis subjects or standard analysis subjects. This reduces the misuse risk and supports the phased rollout of standard analysis subjects.
