FineReport Designer Connects to FineBI Project Remotely

When the FineReport Designer successfully connects to FineBI remotely, clicking "Test Connection" will pop up Connected prompt, as shown in the following figure:

After creating a new working directory on the Finereport designer and configuring the FineBI server information, the test connection is successful and the configuration is completed.

4. Scope of action

After using Finereport Designer to connect to FineBI, only super administrators can create server datasets in Finereport Designer , other users can connect remotely , but cannot create server datasets, and cannot edit data connections. data connection to use.

1. Download and install Finereport Designer

2. Create a new working directory

After downloading and installing, you need to establish a remote connection between Finereport Designer and BI's server.

1) First open the designer and select "File > Switch Working Directory > Others" in the menu bar, as shown in the following figure:

2) In the pop-up "Configure Working Directory" interface, click + to create a newRemote Server, as shown in the following figure:

3. Configuring FineBI Remote Server

After a new remote server connection is added, change the remote server connection name to FineBI , the connection configuration of the remote server will appear on the right interface, and fill in the required configuration information.

Note: When connecting remotely, make sure that the BI server is already running.

4. Test the connection

Click "Test Connection" to see Connected prompt. Click "OK", the remote connection between Finereport and BI is successfully established. As shown below:
