1. The Real-Time Task function in Data Development is available in FineDataLink only with a V5.0 license.
2. For more information about real-time tasks, contact technical support. (See Technical Support Channel Introduction.)
You may need to read data from IBM MQ data sources in real time and output it to specified databases after processing for reporting and real-time dashboard creation and display.
FineDataLink provides an IBM MQ Input operator under Data Development > Real-Time Task to support real-time data reading from IBM MQ data sources.
From FineDataLink V5.0.1.5, if an IBM MQ Input operator is used in a real-time task, you cannot use Group Summary, Flink SQL, or Data Association in the task.
The following figure shows the configuration page of the IBM MQ Input operator.
The following table describes the setting items.
Select the information to be transmitted to downstream operators from IBM MQ messages. You can select Application Data and Topic.
1. Topic (topic): the topic name of the message
2. Application Data (applicationData): the actual content of the message
Values in different data formats (such as XML, JSON, key-value pairs, and Avro) will be uniformly converted to the text format.
You can add a transformation operator downstream for parsing.
Data is displayed based on the configuration of Output Field and Sample Setting.
If no retained messages exist in the topic during fetching, only the table structure is displayed with no data rows.
1. Log in to the FineDataLink project, choose Data Development > Real-Time Task > Create to create a real-time task, as shown in the following figure.
Set the task name and location, and click the OK button to enter the real-time task design page, as shown in the following figure.
2. Drag in an IBM MQ Input operator, select the data source, and set Topic and Output Field, as shown in the following figure.
Click Data Preview to preview the data.
The fetched data is in the JSON format.
1. Drag in a JSON Parsing operator and configure it to parse the data fetched in the "Reading Data Using the IBM MQ Input Operator" section, as shown in the following figure.
2. Click Data Preview, as shown in the following figure.
Drag in a DB Table Output operator and configure it to output the data to the specified database, as shown in the following figure.
For details about the configuration of DB Table Output, see DB Table Output (Real-Time Task).
Use the default write method.
Click Start to start the real-time task, as shown in the following figure.
You can view the task execution status and details on the Log Management page.
