    FineDataLink VersionFunctional Change
    4.1.3/

    Application Scenario

Independently deployed FineDataLink projects support data reading from Public Data of independently deployed FineBI projects.

    Function Description

FineBI and FineDataLink support the creation of the Fine+ Project data connection. After configuring the FineBI project to be accessed, you can use FineBI Public Data as the data source in Scheduled Task (supported in Data SynchronizationParameter Assignment, and Dataset Input) and Data Service (only supported in independently deployed FineDataLink).

    Prerequisite

The following two conditions must be met for FineDataLink to connect to the FineBI project normally.

    1. The Show Keep Logged In function of the FineBI project has been enabled. For details, see Login Timeout

    2. You have ticked Keep Logged In when logging in to the FineBI system.

    Preparation

    • Currently, the minimum versions of FineDataLink and FineBI that support this function are 4.1.3 and 6.0.16 respectively. Ensure the project versions are correct. For details, see Version Compatibility Instruction.

    • Prepare the hostname, port number, username, and password of the remote FineBI project to be connected.

    iconNote:
To read data from a table in Public Data of the remote FineBI project, you must have permission to view that table. Ensure the username used to establish the data connection is the name of a FineBI designer with Use permission on the table. For details, see Using Permission of Public Data.

    Procedure

    1. Log in to FineDataLink as the admin, choose System Management > Data Connection > Data Connection Management, select a folder, and create a data connection, as shown in the following figure.

    2. Set the data connection name. You can also modify the directory of the data connection.

    3. Find the data source by searching the data source name or filtering the data source by Data Source TypeSupported Form, and Compatible Module, as shown in the following figure.

    4. Enter the hostname, port number, username, and password of the remote FineBI project you want to access and test the connection.

    iconNote:
To read data from a table in Public Data of the remote FineBI project, you must have permission to view that table. Ensure the username used to establish the data connection is the name of a FineBI designer with Use permission on the table. For details, see Using Permission of Public Data.

    5. Click Test Connection. If the connection is successful, click Save, as shown in the following figure.

    Data Source Usage

You can use FineBI Public Data as the data source in Scheduled Task (supported in Data SynchronizationParameter Assignment, and Dataset Input) and Data Service. For details, see Independently Deployed FineDataLink Reading Data from FineBI Public Data and Releasing APIs Using Data from FineBI Public Data.
