Using Permission of Public Data

Application Scenarios

Design users need to use tables in Public Data, analyze tables, and use components in My Analysis.

There is a folder named Industry Data in Public Data.

Assign permissions to the user Anna so that Anna can access the data tables in the Industry Data folder under My Analysis.

Setting User Types

In the Platform User interface, if there is No limit on user number of PC User and its subcategories, then there is no need to follow the procedures in this section.

In the Platform User interface, if the number of users in PC User and in its subcategories is limited, you have to follow the procedures in this section, otherwise you cannot view the dashboard.

The admin logs into FineBI, clicks Manage > User > Platform User, and adds the user Anna to BI design user.

Assigning Using Permission of Data

The admin logs into FineBI, clicks Manage > Permission > General permission configuration, and selects the permission carrier Dept./Role or users from User List.

Takes Anna as an example.

Click Data Authorization, and assign the Use permission of Industry Data to Anna.

Demonstration

Anna logs into the FineBI system.

1. Click Public Data, select the table in Industry Data, and directly create an analysis subject.

2. Click My Analysis > Edit to go to the analysis subject editing interface.

When adding data, Anna can select any table in Industry Data in Public Data.

If your using permission of the table is revoked, when you edit the relevant table under My Analysis, a prompt will pop up: The permission for field {field name} are missing and only null data can be displayed.
