Overview
Application Scenario
The multilayer pie chart refers to the pie chart with multiple levels among which containment relationships exist. You can click each level to view its data.
The multilayer pie chart is suitable for displaying complex tree-structured data with parent-child relationships, such as geographic area data and company hierarchies. The following figure shows the display effect of the multilayer pie chart.

Currently, the multilayer pie chart is only applicable when all the data is positive numbers. Negative numbers (if any) are aggregated as positive numbers.
Chart Feature
Advantage: The chart allows you to intuitively see the proportion that each part occupies in the whole by data drilling.
Disadvantage: The chart is unsuitable for displaying large datasets (multiple categories) and data with negative values, in which case the differences cannot be distinguished by naked eyes when the proportions are close.
Attribute Description
Type
When inserting a chart as a cell element or a floating element, select Multilayer Pie Chart, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.
Data
For details about binding data to the multilayer pie chart, see Chart Data.
The following lists special configuration items for binding data to the multilayer pie chart.
Data Source: Dataset data and cell data are available for the multilayer pie chart.
Dataset: You can select a pre-configured data query or a built-in dataset.
Index Name: If you select Use Tooltip under Style > Prompt, the text message will be displayed when you hover the cursor over a sector of the pie chart.
Level Quantity: The level quantity (3 by default) configured here determines how many levels are listed below.
Level1: You can select the category field of the dataset corresponding to the innermost level of the chart here.
Level2: You can select the category field of the dataset corresponding to the second level here.
Level3: You can select the category field of the dataset corresponding to the third level here.
Value: The value configured here affects the size of each sector block.
Summary: You can select First, Last, Sum (default value), Average, Maximum, Minimum, or Count.
Style
For details about the style design of the multilayer pie chart, see Chart Style.
Different from other settings, the series settings for the multilayer pie chart are described separately, as shown in the following figure.
Gradual Level: You can select Gradual Light or Gradual Deep to control the color gradient by level.
Start Angle: You can select an integer ranging from 0 (default value) to 360.
End Angle: You can select an integer ranging from 0 to 360 (default value).
Core: You can set the proportion that the core (inner blank area) occupies in the pie chart. The default value is 0 (solid pie chart).
Drill: You can select On (default value) or Off.
Rotatable: You can select On (default value) or Off.
Special Effect

Example
Report Design
Data Preparation
Create a database query named ds1, and enter the SQL statement SELECT * FROM Orders WHERE "Shipper's country" = 'Thailand' limit 50.
Chart Insertion
Merge required cells, right-click cell A1, choose Cell Element > Insert Chart > Multilayer Pie Chart, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.
Data Binding
Bind the data to the chart, set Level Quantity to 3, and select Shipper's region as Level1, Shipper's country as Level 2, Shipper's city as Level 3, and Shipping Cost as Value, as shown in the following figure.
Style Setting
1. Choose Style > Label, and click Traction Line to make the series clearer, as shown in the following figure.

If you set Position to Outside Pie, the setting of Traction Line/Label will take effect for the outermost level of the chart. If you set Position to Inside Pie, the setting of Label will take effect for the innermost level of the chart.
2. Choose Style > Series, retain the default value (0) of Core, and set Drill to On, as shown in the following figure.

1. All levels evenly occupy the overall radius minus radius of the core.
2. After data drilling, the radius of the middle pie chart accounts for 50% of the overall radius, and the left levels evenly occupy the remaining radius, regardless of whether you set Core or not.
3. Click the white circle in the center to return to the previous level.
