Delisted FRM Report Entry
To optimize your product experience, FanRuan will remove the New Dashboard entry from the designer starting from V11.5.1 on July 17, 2025. Historical FRM reports can still be edited and accessed normally.
For details, see FRM Report Delisting Notice.
If you download the designer of 11.5.1 or later versions or update the designer to 11.5.1 or later versions, you will no longer be able to create FRM templates.
All historically-created FRM templates will not be affected and can be continuously previewed, edited, and modified. In addition, FanRuan will continue to fix bugs (if any) to ensure your normal use.
You are advised to use FineVis Data Visualization as a professional data visualization tool to create more efficient and visually-rich dashboards.
3D Scene Twin Added into FVS

The Scene Twin function has been added into Custom 3D Component, achieving virtual mapping and visual management of business scenes based on the combination of real-time data and 3D models.
You can set Real-time Model Motion, Parameter Model Update, and Model Data Application.
For details, see 3D Scene Twin Application Overview.
Data Source Optimization for FVS 3D Data Layers
1. The WebSocket data source is added.

At the data layer of a custom 3D component, dataset-based real-time update relies on scheduled monitoring, which cannot meet high-frequency refresh requirements and may strain the server.
In FVS V4.1.0, WebSocket can be used as a data source for the data layer. This can meet the high-frequency refresh and real-time update requirements on labels when model data is displayed at the data layer, improving data response efficiency and user experience. This can better supports key business scenarios such as real-time monitoring and dynamic display.
For details, see Data Layer in 3D Scene Components.
2. The refresh frequency can be set for datasets.
When you set Data Source to Dataset, Set Refresh Frequency (default: 60s) is added.
For details, see Data Layer in 3D Scene Components.
FVS 3D Component Configuration Optimization
1. The Scene configuration is optimized for 3D components.
Post-processing is added on the Environment tab page for unified management of settings related to images and depth of field.
The configuration items originally on the Image tab have been merged into Post-processing. Field Depth originally on the Camera tab page has been moved to Post-processing.
The setting item Overall Style has been replaced with Environment Effect. Multiple sets of environment effects can be configured. You can add styles from built-in templates or save current configurations as custom styles. Styles can be switched and deleted.

For details, see FVS 3D City Scene Component and FVS Custom 3D Scene Component.
2. On the 3D background setting page, Set Current Page Effect allows you to configure the viewing angles and environment effects. You can select public viewing angles or the viewing angles after the current page is adjusted, and configured environment effects.
For details, see FVS 3D Background Application.
3D Model Check Tool Added into FVS
When uploading custom 3D models, you may often encounter upload failure due to format mismatches, oversized models, or structural anomalies, and fail to troubleshoot by yourself due to lack of clear error messages.
In V4.1.0, the Model Check function has been added into Model Management to check whether models meet platform requirements before upload, identify specific errors (such as unsupported formats and uncompressed models), and provide optimization suggestions.
FVS 3D Component Undo/Redo Optimization
To enhance convenience and user experience, the following undo and redo operations are supported in FVS V4.1.0:
1. All operations on the Data tab page support undo and redo.
2. On the Model tab page, the following supports undo and redo:
3D city scenes: model attribute configuration panels for buildings, streets, and water bodies/grass
Model animation management
Model combination
3. On the Scene tab page, the following supports undo and redo:
Adding, deleting, switching, and renaming operations of environment effects
All configurations in Post-processing

For details, see FVS Custom 3D Scene Component.
Interaction Event Added into FVS
The click event 3D Environment Effect is added to Interaction Event, allowing you to switch 3D component environment effects by clicking other components.
Different Widgets Displayed on the FVS Query Panel by Page
To use different query widgets across multiple pages, especially on mobile terminals, the configuration item Display Page is added in V4.1.0 for query widgets, allowing you to set the visibility of widgets on the query panel across different pages.
For details, see FVS Query Panel.
Optimization of Linkage Clearance Logics for FVS Drop-down Widgets
To enhance user experience, V4.1.0 allows the previous filter value of the linked sub widget to be automatically cleared when you re-select the value of the main widget if these drop-down widgets are linked.
After the value of the main widget is switched, the system will automatically clear the current-selected value of the linked sub widget that is not in the post-update options, and retain the selected value that is in the post-update options.
Export Optimization
The FineReport 11.5.1 version allows the export to be interrupted if the disk space is insufficient. If the disk space is insufficient before or during the export, an error message will be reported:
Before the export: Since the available disk space is less than xx GB, you cannot start export. Clean the disk or contact the administrator and try again.
During the export: Since the available disk space is less than xx GB, the system has terminated the export. Free up enough space and try again.
Platform
Memory Control
The memory occupied by template cells is limited dynamically based on the system memory to reduce crashes caused by large templates. Different from the template limitation function, this function automatically predicts how many more cells can be calculated based on the available JVM memory, eliminating you from configuring cell limits for individual templates.
For details, see Global Memory Control for Reports.
Thread Circuit Breaker
High-priority services are ensured with lower crash risks by resource priority scheduling and corresponding strategies (such as rate limit, interruption, and degradation). This effectively intercepts scenarios where database lags cause data retrieval blocks and crashes.
For details, see Thread Circuit Breaker for Resource Scheduling.
App Project ID Added into Registration Management
The App Project ID information with corresponding customer names displayed is added into the Registration Management page.
To use Local Machine Info for registration, you need to export this ID information file and send it to the business team.
For details, see Registration Management.
SMS Verification Template Setting Added
In scenarios such as SMS verification for binding mobile numbers, resetting passwords, modifying passwords, and logins, FanRuan allows administrators to customize SMS templates.
New Setting in Cookie Enhancement
The security attributes SameSite and HttpOnly have been added into Cookie Enhancement to enhance security and prevent data leaks or attacks.
Attribute | Defense Target | Prerequisite |
---|---|---|
SameSite | Prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. | Select None+Secure for cross-site scenarios. |
HttpOnly | Prevents Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. | No additional condition is required. |
For details, see Security Protection.
Mobile Terminal
Automatic Grouping Supported After FVS Switchover to Mobile Terminals
Mobile Layout is enabled by default in V4.1.0. To improve the flow layout effect when templates are switched from PCs to mobile terminals, the Auto Group function has been added.
When templates with Mobile Layout enabled are switched from PCs to mobile terminals, a grouping guide will be displayed and allow you to select Enable Auto Group for Current Page to help optimize the layout structure.

FVS Component Operation Optimization on Mobile Terminals
Mobile Layout is enabled by default in V4.1.0. When you switch templates from PCs to mobile terminals:
1. If resized components within a combination exceed the container (canvas or tab), the editable range will automatically be limited to the canvas width minus the page margin, or the tab width minus the padding.
2. Components within a combination can only be dragged within the editable area of the flow-layout container, and cannot be infinitely drag left or right
For details, see FVS Mobile Layout.
