    FAQ Installation 

    Q: How to download and install the FVS plugin?

    Click to download plugin: FVS.

    1. When installing the plugin, pay attention to the requirements of different plugin versions for the JAR package. For details, see JAR Mismatch.

    Q: How to remove the watermark You are using a function which is not registered FVS Large Screen in the bottom right corner of the FVS large screen?

    To use this plugin, you need to purchase the corresponding function. If the report server project has not registered License or the registered License has expired, FVS large screen will display the watermark. For details, you can send an email to international@fanruan.com or click 标志.pngat https://www.finereport.com/en/


    Q: Why cannot you install the FVS plugin in the Nginx environment?

    The Nginx environment limits the maximum uploaded file size to 20MB, while the FVS plugin size is 255MB, so it cannot be installed.

    You can solve it in two ways:

    1. Modify the maximum size of uploaded file in Nginx: add client_max_body_size XMB to http{} in the nginx.conf file. (X is the maximum size allowed, which needs to be larger than the size of the plugin).

    2. Login to the platform via ip+ port, and bypass Nginx for plugin installation.

     

    Q: Does the FVS Plugin support 10.0?

    The FVS Plugin follows the FineReport 11.0 version policy. Since V1.3.0, it no longer supports FineReport 10.0, and stops maintaining and updating the plugin of old version.

    You can upgrade to FineReport 11.0 and use plugins of higher versions for better experience.

    FAQ Preview

    Q: Why does the preview of FVS template run slowly or even fail to display?

    The FVS Plugin requires a high hardware configuration. If the configuration cannot meet the standard, you will experience the lag during preview.

    Q: Why is there blank space when previewing the template?

    Currently, FVS Canvas Adaptation supports five settings: Auto, Vertically, Horizontally, Horizontally and Vertically and None. Auto refers to displaying pages according to the browser’s aspect ratio, not Fit.

    Therefore, when the size and ratio of the preview window and the template are exactly the same or you set the Horizontally and Vertically mode, the template occupies the entire screen.

     

    Q: Can I preview FVS at mobile terminals?

    Mobiles devices are not supported currently.


    Q: How to share FVS templates with others?

    In the local environment, you can directly send the .fvs file to others, and they can open it in the local designer to preview.

    For the remote environment, you can mount templates in Decision-making Platform.

    After mounting, you can find the corresponding template in Manage Directory, click Preview Template, and share the link with others to preview.

    Other FAQ

    Q: Can I use Echarts in FVS templates?

    After downloading and installing the Echarts Chart Integration Plugin, you can use it in the Table Component cell. FVS does not support Echarts as a chart component to use currently.

     

    Q: Why is the format of the formula "now()" incorrect in the FVS template?

    The components in FVS Large Screen template do not process the format of the formula. If you encounter a formula with an incorrect format, you can use the FORMAT function to convert it.

    For example, FORMAT(NOW(), "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss")

     

    Q: Why does the FVS template blur after I cast it to the screen?

    The clarity of the casting depends on the output resolution of the device. To ensure the clarity, you should try to ensure that the output resolution is close to the physical resolution of the large screen display.

    If you cannot upgrade the casting device, you can try an adapter cable for higher resolution output.

    l  Physical resolution: Generally the upper limit of device's resolution. For example, for a 2k screen, the physical resolution is 2560*1440.

    l  Logical resolution: Generally the actual output resolution set by the device. Theoretically the logical resolution of a display can be lower than or equal to the physical resolution. For example, for a 2k screen, the output resolution can be set to 1920*1080.

     

    Q: Why are there more and more FVS files in the project?

    When you use FineReport to create templates, files in the path /WEB-INF/assets/vcs/history/.git accumulate because of the backup through Template Version Management. And because FVS templates are larger than normal cpt/frm templates, the project will become larger.

    There are two suggestions as follows:

    1. Click File > Options > Version Management on the top menu bar to change the save interval to longer.

    2. Tick Template versioning storage optimization, and click Clean. If you use remote connection, the jar version in remote environment should be the same with that in local environment.

    Q: How to select FVS’s template when you set Task Schedule?

    When you set Task Schedule in the Decision-making Platform, FVS cannot be selected as Report Template. How can you share FVS large screen template by Task Schedule?

    1. Click No Dispatcher Project in Object Type.
