Finding Target Customers for Products

  • Last update:May 14, 2025
  • Overview

In the previous document, through the operation of finding required products for customers, you can identify the need to design a sportswear product for the March Goddess Festival activity next year. The product should belong to the sports category, with a price range of 600-700 or 300-500 and a black and white color scheme as the primary color. In this document, you can further explore the consumer profile of this product category through the operation of finding target customers for products.

    Example

    VIP Analysis

You can use a pie chart to display the sales volume of each VIP level, as shown in the following figure.

    1. Drag Current VIP Level and Count into the analysis area.

    2. Filter Current VIP Level to obtain non-null data, and double-click Count to rename it Sales Volume.

    3. Set Chart Type to Pie Chart.

    Age Range - Sales Analysis

You can analyze the sales revenue and sales volume trends based on the values of Age Range.

Since the dataset contains the Age field only without an "Age Range" field, you need to add the latter field in data editing. Here, you can use the Condition Label Column function. For details, see Adding a Condition Label Column. The following figure shows the effect.

In addition to the age ranges set above, the remaining age ranges have been categorized into Other.

For details about chart creation, see section "Main Color Range - Sales Analysis" in the document Finding Required Products for Customers. The following figure shows the effect.

You need to filter out the data of Other in Age Range.

    Channel - Sales Analysis

You can analyze the sales revenue and sales volume trends based on Registration Channel. Since the metrics used for analysis are the same — Sales Revenue and Sales Volume, you can copy the components from Age Range - Sales Analysis and change Horizontal Axis. Also, you need to filter null data. The following figure shows the effect.

    Sales Outlet Status

You can use a table to examine the sales status of each outlet, as shown in the following figure.

    Dashboard Display

You can drag the created component into the tab Finding Target Customers for Products, adjust the layout, and add a Tree Label.

    Tree Label Filtering

Price Range, Target Group, Main Color, Mid-level Category, Long/Short Cotton Outfit, Size, and Major Category have been added to the Tree Label. You can also select fields based on actual needs.

In addition, you need to configure the scope of Filter Component to control only the components created in the tab Finding Target Customers for Products. The following figure shows the effect.
