    Application Scenario

    After installing the plugin:

    • You can add the FineReport templates mounted to the directory to web components directly, rather than adding these templates by links.

    • You can link general components to the FineReport templates in web components.

    • You can directly jump from the FineBI dashboards to the FineReport templates mounted in the directory.

    Procedure

    Mounting the FineReport Template to the Directory

    You need to mount the FineReport template to the directory before using the plugin to mount the FineReport template to the web component and set linkage and jump for the component.

    1. Download the template: Auto Query.cpt.

    2. Place the downloaded template in the reportlets folder in the \webapps\webroot\WEB-INF path, as shown in the following figure.

    3. Add the template to the FineBI directory, as shown in the following figure.

    Select the mounted FineReport template Auto Query.cpt in the web component, as shown in the following figure.

    Setting a Linkage to the FineReport Template

    After mounting the FineReport template to the web component, you can set up the linkage between the component and the FineReport template.

    The Auto Query template contains the parameter city. For details about setting parameters in a report, see Template Parameter.

    You need to modify the linkage setting of the web component, and configure the component field and the web component field, as shown in the following figure.

    • Component field: You can set the field to be transferred by the component. In this example, the field City is selected.

    • Web component field: You can enter the parameter name.

    In this case, you can click the City field to transfer the corresponding values to the parameter city.

    Jumping to the FineReport Template

    Download the sample data Store Sales Data.xlsx.

    1. Use the values in the City and Sales fields to create a component and a dashboard. Drag the component to the dashboard, and set a jump for the component, as shown in the following figure.

    Set the Auto Query template as the target dashboard, as shown in the following figure.

    Click the non-blank area of the component, and you can jump to the Auto Query template, as shown in the following figure.

    View that no parameters are transferred after you click Jakarta Raya and jump to the CPT template. For details about transferring parameters, see section "Procedure."

    The Auto Query template contains the parameter city. For details about setting parameters in a report, see Template Parameter.

    Based on the example shown in section "Mounting the FineReport Template to the Directory", you can modify the configurations of Set Jump, and configure Source Field and Target Field to achieve the effect, as shown in the following figure.

    After you click Jakarta Raya and jump to the CPT template, the values of Jakarta Raya are transferred to and filled into the text widget of the template parameter automatically. You can click Query to view the corresponding data of Jakarta Raya.
