    Application Scenarios

    With the permission of Scheduled Task Management, sub-admins can manage all scheduled tasks, or manage allocated scheduled tasks.

    With the permission of allocated scheduled task management and scheduling nodes using, sub-admins can log into FineBI and go to Manage > Task Schedule to perform operations such as editing, copying, viewing, deleting, and creating scheduled tasks.

    Example One

    Allow Development department > Maintenance engineer to manage all scheduled tasks in the sys-tem.

    1. Enable Hierarchical Authorization.

    2. Configure Use permission in Permission > Manage > Task Schedule.

    Example Two

    Allow Sales department > Sales director o mana-ge the scheduled task Sales_Daily_Report in the system.

    1. Enable Hierarchical Authorization and Scheduled Task M-anagement.

    2. Configure Manage permission in Permission > Task Sched-ule > Manage.

    3. Configure Use permission in Permission > Manage Task Schedule.

    Example One: Managing All Scheduled Tasks

    Allow Development department > Maintenance engineer to manage all scheduled tasks in the system.

    Enabling Hierarchical Authorization

    The admin logs into FineBI, goes to Manage > Permission > Global Setting, enables Hierarchical Authorization, and clicks Save.

    Configuring Use Permissions for Manage

    The admin logs into FineBI, goes to Manage > Permission > General permission configuration, and selects Dept., Role or users from User List.

    Take Development department > Maintenance engineer as an example. Click Permission > Manage > Task Schedule to configure Use permission for the Maintenance engineer.

    Demonstration

    Maintenance engineer Jenny logs into FineBI, clicks Manage > Task Schedule, and she can:

    1. Edit, copy, view, delete, and create all scheduled tasks in the system.

    2. Use Run Monitoring function to view all scheduled tasks.

    Example Two: Managing Allocated Scheduled Tasks

    Allow Sales department > Sales director to manage the allocated scheduled task Sales_Daily_Report in the system.

    The admin logs into FineBI, clicks Manage > Permission > Global Settings, enables Hierarchical Authorization and Scheduled Task Management, and clicks Save.

    Configuring Scheduled Task Management

    The admin logs into FineBI, goes to Manage > Permission > General permission configuration, and selects Dept., Role or users from User List.

    Take Sales department > Sales director as an example. Select Permission > Task Schedule and assign the Manage permission of the task Sales_Daily_Report to the Sales director.

    Configuring Use Permissions for Management

    The admin logs into FineBI, goes to Manage > Permission > General permission configuration, and selects Dept., Role or users from User List.

    Taking Sales department > Sales director as an example in this section. Click Permission > Manage and configure Use permission of Task Schedule for the Sales director.

    Demonstration

    Sales Manager Lisa Logs in to FineBI, clicks Manage > Task Schedule, and she can:

    1. Edit, copy, view, delete and perform other operations on the scheduled task Sales_Daily_Report.

    2. Create new scheduled tasks and have default management permissions.

    3. Use the Run Monitoring function to view all scheduled tasks with permissions.

    Notes

    To edit the default user group in scheduled tasks, the sub-admin needs to follow the steps below:

    The admin needs to go to Permission > General permission configuration Personnel Management and assign the Manage permission to sub-admin of the department or role related to the user.
