Application Scenarios
After configuring several components, you may hope to filter out the required information through the linkage betweencomponents. FineBI allows you to set linkage between any components.
For example, by clicking different types of products in the pie chart, you can filter out the corresponding sales data. Meanwhile, it doesn't take effect to other components. .
How to Set Linkage
1. Upload the Office Supplies Sales Data table.
2. Use the table to create multiple components to analyze product sales (pie chart, KPI indicator card, and group table).
3. Check the default effect of linkage between components.
4. Set the range of linkage for each component.
Creating an Interactive Subject
Create a subject as follows:
Adding Data
Data download:
Office Supplies Sales Data.xlsx
Name the subject as Interactive Subject and upload local data to it.
The effect is as follows if the upload is successful.
Configuring Components
Click Component tab in the bottom of the page to set components. .
Configure relevant components as follows:
Create a dashboard, drag and drop the components into it, and adjust their size and position.
The dashboard is as follows:
Linkage Settings
Default Linkage
Default linkage conditions: Date in multiple components are from the same table or data tables used in those components are related with each other. .
For example, click the category Furniture in the pie chart to filter out the corresponding data in other components.
Setting Linkage Manually
You can also set linkage manually in FineBI. If the default linkage is not what you want or if linkages cannot be generated between components automatically (not using the same table and no association between the tables), you can set the linkage manually.
For example, if you want to trigger the linkage only between the pie chart and the group table, you can cancel the linkage between other components.
On the dashboard editing interface, select the pie chart, click > Manually set up linkage to cancel the linkage between other components.
Likewise, you can repeat the steps above to cancel the linkage between other components.
The effect is same with section "Application Scenarios".
Clearing and Canceling Linkage
1. Click More and untick Enable default linkage. By doing so, you can disable the default linkage and set it manually.
2. Click Clear all linkages to cancel all linkage in the current dashboard.
3. Click to clear the linkage of the current component.
