Overview
After you have finished creating table and chart components, you may need to further explore data to discover more valuable information by using some dynamic interactions. At this time, you can improve your ability to explore data by learning component interaction in FineBI.
This article will provide a brief overview of the learning path.
What to Learn
Background
This article will use Office Supplies Sales Data table to introduce various functions of the interaction.
As shown in the following picture, this table includes Order Number, Time of Contract, Category, Product Name, State, City and three indicators (Sales, Number, and Profits).
Example data download:

This table can help you to learn all interaction functions easily.
Interaction Functions
Linkage
By clicking different categories of office supplies in the pie chart, you can view the sales performance of each category of the product.
For example, click furniture and you can see that the sales are $10 million. Click to clear the linkage. The total sales of all products are $19 million.
Drilling
When data has multiple dimensions and each dimension is related at the same time, you need to drill down layer by layer to explore data.
You can view the sales of different types offices supplies. Click Product Name to view the sales of specific office supplies.
Jumping
When you need to obtain more information by clicking a summary dashboard, you can obtain information through the jumping function.
For example, click Alaska to view the detailed sales information about it.
Slice Filtering
You can filter product sales data dynamically based on different criteria.
For example, you can filter Time of Contract, Sales, State, and City to view the data you want.
Other Components
After you have finished creating dashboard components, you can use other components to enhance the visualization of the dashboard and add descriptions to the dashboard.
Where to Learn
After having understood the learning tasks, you can begin now.
All components created during the learning process can be completed in one dashboard. When you use other components, all components can be divided into multiple pages of topics according to different learning content.

Note: If a component allows for linkage, jumping, and drilling simultaneously, you may encounter the following situation, which is normal.
