6.1.4 | Before: Lacked field matching steps for source table switchover during data editing. After field A was replaced in the source table, field A in the sub-table was marked in red due to inconsistent field ID matching, which is difficult to adjust. Now: Allowed you to manually match the corresponding fields and adjust fields marked in red and incorrectly matched during data switchover. |
Application Scenario
After you create an analysis subject, business logics may often change, requiring fields in the dataset to be replaced or the data source table to be updated.
You want to reuse completed analysis subjects/dashboards by replacing data sources with just one click.
Implementation Method
On the data editing page of the analysis subject, select the data table and click Switch Data for source switchover, as shown in the following figure.
Notes
If you switch data by Local Excel, the system automatically matches the field names in the new and old data sources, and does not allow you to manually match fields.
You are advised to switch data by Current Project if the fields in the new and old data tables are not completely consistent. In this case, you can manually match the fields with inconsistent names.
Procedure
Data Switchover
On the Data tab page of the analysis subject, select the data table, click Switch Data next to the data source, and select the new table, as shown in the following figure.
Field Matching
When switching data by Current Project, you can manually match fields to adjust fields with inconsistent names, as shown in the following figure.

Click OK.
Effect Display
After updating the analysis subject, you can view the changes of the corresponding fields and data in the dashboard, as shown in the following figure.
The contract type has been redefined.
The fields Purchase Quantity and Contract Amount are renamed.
Dataset/Field Deleted from the Original Path
Red markings will be displayed if the source table is deleted or a field is deleted.
To ensure successful switchover and matching, the field names and types must be completely consistent in the new table and the original table during data switchover, as shown in the following figure.
Notes
This solution is not applicable if a column of data in multiple tables needs to be adjusted and replaced. For details, refer to Replacing the Data of a Specified Column.
