Component export Excel

1.2 Application scenario

When the business analysis is done and users want to export all the analyzed data from the system, we can use the "component export Excel" function. This function supports exporting all the data in the component to Excel and saving it locally.

1.3 Function introduction

Component export Excel can be in the dashboard edit/preview interface, or export the dashboard components that have been hung out to the directory.

2.1 Export

2.1.1 Export in the dashboard edit interface

In the dashboard edit interface, select the corresponding component, click the drop-down button in the upper right corner of the component, and select "Export Excel", as shown in the following figure:

Enter the dashboard preview interface, click the drop-down button and select "Export Excel", as shown in the following figure:

2.1.3 Export in the directory

When dashboard hung out to the directory, non-administrator users need the administrator to enable the directory export permission to export the components. Select the component, click "drop-down> Export Excel", as shown in the figure below:

2.2 File description of exported Excel

2.2.1 Table component

If exporting a table component with filter conditions, the generated Excel file contains two sheets:

1) Detailed component data. It is displayed in the form of expanding all dimension nodes, including the theme color and column width set by the component. The user can perform further processing and summary operations on the exported Excel data to meet other use needs; as shown in the following figure:

2.2.2 Chart component

If exporting a chart component, the following data will be exported. The sample component is shown below:

1) Detailed component data.

If the chart has multiple indicators with the same granularity and no special display, they will be combined into one sheet page to display the data, as shown in the following figure:

Note: If both the horizontal axis and the vertical axis have indicator fields, when exporting Excel, which axis has more indicator fields, the indicator fields of which axis will be exported. If there are the same number, the indicator field on the vertical axis is exported.

2) Filter conditions. As shown below:

3) The dashboard sheet will display the chart effect of the component. If filtering is used on the interface, the corresponding filtering effect of the component will also be affected during the corresponding export. That is, the exported content is consistent with the analysis result viewed by the current user. As shown below:

2.2.3 Precautions

• Regardless of whether it is a table component or a chart component, when the detailed data exceeds the maximum row and column limit of Excel, it will be divided into multiple sheets for display. For example, the maximum number of rows in the version starting from Excel 2007 is 1,048,576 rows. If the exported data exceeds 1,048,576 rows, it will be displayed in sheets.

• The date exported by FineBI is not Excel's date format, but text. The text can be converted into a date format through Excel.
