Application Scenarios
To customize settings and manage the homepage of the PC or mobile device, you can use the Manage Homepage function.
Functions
FineBI allows setting a homepage for the PC, mobile, and tablet platforms respectively.
You can select a FineReport template, FineBI dashboard, platform directory, or link as the homepage.
The homepage on PC is shown as follows:

Adding a Homepage
The admin logs into FineBI, go to System Management > Directory Management > Homepage Management, and click Add Homepage.
Set Homepage Example as Name, and select BI Template as Homepage Type in this example. There are three homepage types: BI Template, Template, Platform Directory.
In the drop-down list of PC, select the dashboard Business Theme/Sales Management/Sales Director Real-time Dashboard.
In the drop-down list of Mobile, select the dashboard Business Theme/Sales Management/Sales Director Real-time Dashboard.
In the drop-down list of Tablet, select the dashboard Business Theme/Sales Management/Sales Director Real-time Dashboard.

1. FineBI allows setting different homepages for different users.
2. If a user has viewing permissions for multiple homepages, the homepage listed first in the directory will be displayed first.
3. FineBI pre-installed a set of default homepages. Users can create one or modify the existing default homepage directly.

Homepage Type | Description | |
BI Template | Select BI Template as Homepage Type, and in the drop-down list you can choose dashboards: 1. The currently logged-in user's own dashboards. 2. The currently logged-in user has management permissions for dashboards created and published by other users. | |
Template | Select Template as Homepage Type, and in the drop-down list you can choose any FineReport template in the reportlets folder and its subfolders in the directory %BI_HOME%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF. | |
Platform Directory | Select Platform Directory as Homepage Type, and in the drop-down list you can choose any directory in the platform directory, regardless of whether the mounting type is BI template, template, or link. | |
Link | Absolute Path | Select Link as Homepage Type, and enter the absolute path to set an external website as the homepage. Example: https://www.fanruan.com/ Note: The address need to include http://. |
Relative Path | To set an HTML page, image, or animation image as the homepage, you can save the files in the webroot folder in the directory %BI_HOME%\webapps. Select Link as Homepage Type, and enter the relative path. Example: /webroot/demo.html ![]() |
Assigning Viewing Permissions for Homepage
The admin logs into FineBI, and clicks System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration.
Permissions also can be assigned to the department and role in Permission Quick Configuration.
In this example, click User's Final Permission and select Alice to assign the viewing permission for Homepage Example.
Assigning Data Permissions
If the homepage is mounted with a BI template that requires access to certain data, the admin needs to assign data permissions.
The admin logs into FineBI, and clicks System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration.
Permissions also can be assigned to the department and role in Permission Quick Configuration.
In this example, click User's Final Permission and select Alice to assign the Component Data permission for Analysis Data > Data Analysis Model.
Assigning Permissions for Template Authentication
Enable Authentication Role Permission to assign viewing permissions for the homepage template to users.
The admin logs into FineBI, and clicks System Management > Template Authentication > Common Permission Configuration.
Permissions also can be assigned to the department and role in Permission Quick Configuration.
In this example, click User's Final Permission and select Alice to assign the viewing permission for the dashboard Business Theme/Sales Management/Sales Director Real-time Dashboard.
Demonstration
On PC
Alice logs into FineBI and see the default homepage displaying as the dashboard.
On Tablet/Mobile

Enter FanRuan as Name, click Save, and the homepage on App is shown as follows:
Clearing Homepage
When the homepage type is set as BI Template, Template, or Platform Directory, you can clear the default homepage and customized homepage that have been set.
