Application Scenario
In most cases, the value axis is set on the vertical axis. This document introduces how to configure the parameters of the horizontal axis, such as scale and title.
Function Description
You can set the value axis for indicator fields. The Set Value Axis function can help you set the parameters of Shared Axis, Axis Label, Axis Scale, Axis Reverse Order, Logarithmic Axis, and Axis Title, as shown in the following figure.
Shared Axis Setting
The value axis is set to the left-value axis by default. If there are multiple indicator fields, they can be displayed on a shared axis or separate axes.
For details, see Setting Dual Y-axes of Graphs.
Axis Scale Setting
You can select Custom to set the maximum, minimum, and interval values of the axis label. The input value can be the maximum, minimum, or average of the current indicator field. You can also directly enter a number or add a formula with operators.
The following table introduces these settings.
Display Range | Description |
---|---|
Default | Automatically calculates the minimum and maximum values based on the currently displayed data range. |
Dynamic Calculation by Each Dimension | Function description: If this function is selected, the axis range of partition values in each dimension is displayed based on the actual values, ensuring that the trend changes in the graph can be clearly observed. Effective conditions: When dimension fields are dragged into the vertical axis, the indicator field on the vertical axis will take effect. If this condition is not met, this function will not take effect even if it is selected. |
Custom | This function allows you to set the minimum, maximum, and interval values of the axis scale. Minimum and maximum values refer to the minimum and maximum values within the range displayed on the value axis. It allows you to set the value by formulas. When the minimum value is set greater than the maximum value, the corresponding maximum value is invalid. Interval values refer to customized intervals between major scales. For example, you can set the interval value to two million, as shown in the following figure. |

Axis Label Setting
You can tick Display Axis Label to decide whether to hide it and set Text Direction and Font Style.
Axis Reverse Order Setting
Tick Axis Reverse Order to display the values of axis labels in reverse order in the chart.
Logarithmic Axis Setting
Tick Logarithmic Axis to use a logarithmic scale. Once you tick the function, axis labels will be displayed in powers of 10.
Axis Title Setting
You can tick Display Axis Title to decide whether to hide it and set Title Name and Font Style.
Notes
If there are multiple indicator fields in the chart, when you click some indicator names to hide them, the values on the vertical axis cannot change dynamically.
How can the vertical axis change dynamically as shown in the following figure?
You can click the icon xxx, select Set Value Axis from the drop-down list, and delete the maximum value you have set for the vertical axis, as shown in the following figure.
