Application Scenario
You (the admin) want to assign users permission to view and edit specific pipeline tasks.
This document introduces how an admin can assign management permission on Data Pipeline to users for them to view and edit corresponding pipeline tasks.
Prerequisite
Related functions have been registered. For details, see Registration Introduction.
Example
The example in this chapter shows how to assign management permission on Data Pipeline to the user eoco for eoco to view and edit corresponding pipeline tasks.
Enabling Pipeline Task Management
Log in to FineDataLink as the super admin, choose System Management > Permission Management > Global Setting, enable Hierarchical Authorization and Pipeline Task Management, and click Save, as shown in the following figure.

If Pipeline Task Management is not enabled, users with permission to use the Data Pipeline module can view and edit all pipeline tasks.
If you do not assign management permission on specific pipeline tasks to the user following the section "Allocating Pipeline Task Management Permission," the user cannot perform operations on pipeline tasks after logging in to FineDataLink, as shown in the following figure.
Assigning Use Permission on Pipeline Task
Assigning Use Permission on Pipeline Task
Firstly, eoco needs to have permission to use the Data Pipeline module, as shown in the following figure.
Assigning Management Permission on Pipeline Task
Log into FineDataLink as the admin, choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration, and select the permission carrier by department, role, or user.
Select eoco and assign management permission on the Task1 pipeline task, as shown in the following figure.
For temporary tasks:
If a temporary task has an associated formal pipeline task, the user will have the same management/authorization permission on the temporary task as that on the formal pipeline task.
If a temporary task has no associated formal pipeline task, only the super admin can see and manage these tasks.
You can also assign permission by folder, as shown in the following figure.
Effect Display
After logging in to FineDataLink, eoco can view and edit the Task1 pipeline task, as shown in the following figure.
In the meantime, eoco can manage the Task1 pipeline task in O&M Center, as shown in the following figure.
