    Application Scenario

You (the admin) may want to assign users permission to view and edit specific folders and apps under Data Service > APP List.

This document introduces how an admin can assign Management permission on Data Service to users, enabling them to view and edit corresponding folders and apps in APP List.

    Prerequisite

Ensure that related functions have been registered. For details, see Registration Introduction.

If you enable User Restriction, you need to add users to Data Development User for authorization. For details, see Platform User.

    Example

Assign Management permission on folders and apps to the user eoco, allowing eoco to view and edit corresponding folders and apps.

    Enabling Data Service App Management

Log in to FineDataLink as the super admin, choose System Management > Permission Management, click the  1744881133751551.pngicon, enable Hierarchical Authorization and Data Service APP Management, and click Save, as shown in the following figure.

    iconNote:
If Data Service APP Management is disabled, users with Use permission on the Data Service module can see all folders and apps in APP List.

Assigning Use Permission on Data Service

Firstly, you need to assign Use permission on the Data Service module to the user eoco, as shown in the following figure.

    2.2-1.png

In this case, if Management permission on Data Service APP is not assigned to eoco as described in "Assigning Management Permission on Data Service APP", eoco will not be able to perform operations in APP List after logging in to FineDataLink.

Assigning Management Permission on Data Service APP

Log in to FineDataLink as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration. You can select the permission carrier from Dept./Role/User List.

In this example, select the user eoco and assign him Management permission on the Sales folder and App in the Finance folder in Data Service APP, as shown in the following figure.

    2.3.png

If user A has Management permission on a folder, then user A has Management permission on all current and subsequent apps in this folder.

If user A has Management permission on a task, but does not have Management permission on the folder where the task is located, then user A can only edit the specified task in that folder, but cannot create tasks in that folder.

    Effect Display

After eoco logs in to FineDataLink, eoco can view and edit App in the Finance folder and all apps in the Sales folder, as shown in the following figure.

    Subsequent Operations

If you need to assign users with permissions to view and edit published API tasks, you need to configure Management permission according to Data Service API Management Permission. If the viewing and editing permissions on API tasks in a Data Service app are not set, the corresponding API tasks will not be displayed in the app set according to this document.

For example, Data Service API Management is enabled, and the viewing and editing permissions on the API task demo are assigned to eoco, as shown in the following figure.

    3-1.png

In this case, if the app demo in APP List contains three API tasks: demodemo1, and demo2, the user eoco can only view the demo task on which eoco has Management permission, as shown in the following figure.
