I. Overview
Extended chart – Map include Carousel GIS Point Map and Carousel 3D combined map. Compared with common maps, these two extended charts have dynamic effect and can display views in a cool way with simple settings.
Carousel GIS Point Map can display each map point one by one.
Carousel 3D combined map can used to set points, lines, columns and areas.

II. Carousel GIS Point Map
1. Add a Carousel GIS Point Map
1) Click [Floating Element] > [Chart], and select [Extended Chart-Map] > [Carousel GIS Point Map].
2) Adjust the size of the chart.
2. Prepare data
You can directly use the built-in data in the template provided at the end of this section. The data shows the gross profit and net profit of a company in different regions.
3. Set the “Data” for the chart
1) Set the “Data” for the chart as shown in the figure below. Then, click [Field Name] after [Series Name], and select [Gross Profile] and [Net Profile] columns below.
2) The location of these data is as follows under a preview mode:
a) Area Name
b) Series and values
c) Description
4. Set map type
After selecting the [Type] tab, you can adjust the type of the map at the bottom with the [GIS Layer] and [Zoom Length] below. The theme of the GIS Layer is set as [Black] by default. You can also select the [Satellite] theme. The default zoom length is 11.
5. Set title
1) Select [Style] > [Title]. Click and enter the title text: “ Profits from global subsidiaries"
2) Set the background for the title: Select [Color] in the drop-down box after [Fill] and then select white. Adjust the opacity to 40 and add a rounded corner to the background by inputting 5.

6. Set the background
1) Select the [BG] tab to set the style of the background. Select a thick line style, set color as light blue, and change the rounded corner to 10.

7. Set the style of map points
1) Select the [Graphics] label, and set the “Graph Shape” as [3D column chart] and [Scatter].
2) If [3D column chart] is selected, the map points will be displayed as a slowly rising column under the preview mode. In this section, the “Graph Shape” remains [3D column chart].
3) If [Scatter] is selected, the map points will be displayed as an outward expanding ripple.
8. Set the Tooltip
1) Select the [Prompt Box] tab and click the [Format] after the [Value].
2) Select [Number] and input manually after "0": Billion. In this way, the profit value displayed are expressed in billions.

III. Carousel 3D combined map
1. Add a Carousel 3D combined map
1) Click [Floating Element] > [Chart], and select [Extended Chart-Map] > [Carousel GIS Point Map].
2) Adjust the size of the chart.
2. Prepare data
1) Directly use the built-in data in the template provided at the end of this section. The first set of data shows the profit of the company in different areas, which will be displayed as points in the map.
2) The second set of data shows the export of every two areas, which will be displayed as lines in the map.
3. Set the “Data” for the chart
1) Set up data for points on the map. Input manually after [Title]: Profit
2) Set up data for lines on the map. Input manually after [Title]: Export
3) When the map displays point data, the data set above will be displayed as follows:
a) Title
b) Area Name
c) Series and values
4) When the map displays line data, the data set above will be displayed as follows:
a) Title
b) Start point
c) The area name, series, and value of the end point
Note: Only the setting of points and lines are described here. Columns and areas can be set in a similar way. Users can set them and view the effect according to their own needs.
4. Set map type
Click the [Type] tab to set the map boundary and viewing distance. The data set involves all countries in the world, so the Map Boundary is set as “world”. The viewing distance is the distance between the user and the map, expressed in pixels. The default value is [Automatic]. You can select [Custom] and input 1500.
Note: The Map Boundary can only be selected from the built-in map of the Decision-making Platform. Please refer to for geographic information.
5. Set the style of points and lines
1) Select [Style] > [Graphics] and click the [Point] tab to select the shape of the point, which is [Aperture]by default.
2) You can modify it by selecting [Bubble] [Radiation Wave] or [Polymeric Hexagon] from the drop-down box.

3) Click the [Line] tab to adjust the color and opacity of the line.
6. Set the background
Click the [BG] tab to adjust the color and opacity of the background of the map, or the color of the map itself.
