Application Scenario
If you want a certain role to have permission on personnel management, directories, and system management, you can assign permission based on the role dimension.
Function Description
Roles in this document refer to the roles imported from databases and added manually in User Management. Roles imported from databases are automatically loaded into the Role List, which will not be elaborated on here.
A role can be seen as a collection of people in different departments with the same identity (which is not a position in the department structure). For example, Peter, in the internal service department, and Marks, in the marketing department, have the same role of the shareholder, which is not part of the department structure.
Assigning permissions based on roles means assigning permission on reports, platform management, and data connection by roles. The document will briefly introduce how to assign permissions based on roles hereafter.
Example
Adding Roles
Log in to the decision-making system as the admin, choose System Management > User Management > Role, and add the user Tom to the role Shareholder, as shown in the following figure.
Configuring Permission
Log in to the decision-making system as the admin and choose System Management > Permission Management > Common Permission Configuration > Permission Quick Configuration.
Select User Group Dimension, choose Role > Shareholder as the permission carrier, and assign View permission on the Industry Application directory to the role Shareholder, as shown in the following figure.
Effect Display
The shareholder (username: Tom; password: 123456) can view the Industry Application directory and the templates within the directory after logging in to the decision-making system, as shown in the following figure.
Note
If a user occupies positions or roles of multiple departments among which hierarchic structures exist, you need to follow the permission logic when assigning permissions.
For details, see Logic for Peer-Level Permissions to Take Effect and Logic for Hierarchical Permissions to Take Effect.
