Drilling (including drilling up and drilling down) allows you to dynamically change the level of dimensions while you are viewing a dashboard.
You can drill down to view specific data of cities below when viewing data of provinces.
According to the setting method, drilling can be divided into three types.
Map Drilling: drill on the map component.
Date Drilling: drill on the date dimension. For example, drill down from year to month to day.
Normal Drilling: all drilling conditions, except for the above two.
Drill on the map component. As shown in the following figure, click Jiangsu Province to drill and view the data for each city in Jiangsu Province. For details, see Map Drilling.
You can also customize the map. For example, you can customize the Yunnan-Guizhou and Jiangsu-Zhejiang regions. After clicking a region, you can drill to view specific data of a province. For details, see Custom Map Drilling.
Map drilling is often used as a means of early warning. For details, see Custom Map Colors.
For example, if the value in Xishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province reaches the warning level and the warning color is set to Purple, Jiangsu Province and Wuxi City, the upper levels of Xishan District, may also display Purple.
When viewing the whole map of the country, you can easily notice that data in Jiangsu Province is abnormal. Upon drilling, you can find that the abnormal data comes from Wuxi City. Drilling deeper, you will identify the abnormal area in Xishan District.
If you want to drill on the date dimension, such as drilling from year to year-month to year-month-day, see Date Drilling.
Normal drilling is the common method to set drilling. For details, see Normal Drilling.
As shown in the following figure, the order of drilling is Region > First class channel name > Secondary channel name > Three-level channel name.
After drilling is set, you can also directly switch dimensions to view data at different drilling levels. For details, see Component Dimension Switching.
When you want to drill up, you just need to reverse the order of the drill directory, as long as the drill order is fixed. For details, see Normal Drilling.

After switching levels by clicking the icon , you can make specific settings for each level of the chart. As shown in the following figure, switch the level to sort the bar chart for each level.
Cross-table drilling can be achieved when multiple tables are linked in an analysis subject model.
For example, the following three tables form a model.
Create a drill directory City and drag the fields Store NO. and Name into the directory to form a Multi-Table field in the component. The field is in the Cross-Table Field.
Use a drill directory to create a sales analysis table.
