Application Scenario
This document introduces how to manage tables in public data. You can rename, move, delete, and view the source of the data table, and make a remark on the data table.

Basic Table Management
Click Public Data, select a basic table, and click the icon .
Alternatively, click the folder where the table is located to manage the dataset on the right page.
Basic Table Management | Description |

Edit | Go to the editing page of this dataset. |
Rename | Rename this dataset. |
Move to | Move this dataset to another folder. To successfully move the data table, you need to have the management permission for the business package of corresponding data tables before and after the move. |
Remarks | You can add remarks about important information to this dataset. After adding the remarks, you can view the information on the right side, as shown in the following figure. |
Delete | Delete this dataset. If the deleted data table is from extracted data, you need to perform a non-empty data update to release disk space after deleting the data table. Updates of non-empty data can include a non-empty table update, a non-empty business package update, a global update, etc. |
Original Name/Source Exclusive to database tables | Original name: You can view the original name of this database table in the database. Source: You can check which data connection it comes from. |
Excel Dataset Update Exclusive to Excel datasets | Update this Excel dataset. |
SQL Dataset Modification Exclusive to SQL datasets | Modify the SQL query statement for this dataset. |
Self-Service Dataset Management in Public Data
Click Public Data and click the icon of a self-service dataset, as shown in the following figure.

Enter My Analysis | Edit this self-service dataset (Only the creator of the self-service dataset has this permission for editing.). |
Move to | Move this dataset to another folder. To successfully move the data table, you need to have the management permission for the business package of corresponding data tables before and after the move. |
Unpublish | Cancel publishing this self-service dataset. |
Remarks | You can add remarks about important information to this dataset. To view the remarks, click Remarks. |
Batch Move/Dataset Deleting
Click the folder where the dataset is located, and select multiple datasets on the right side to move or delete them in batches.
Select all: After selecting a folder, you can view a Select All button where you can select all datasets on the current page.
If you want to deselect all datasets, click a blank area of the page.
Dataset Search
Enter keywords in the search box to find relevant datasets.
Steps Viewing
With self-service dataset editing permissions, you can click Enter My Analysis to view or modify analysis steps.
If you do not have the editing permission, you can also view the analysis steps of the self-service dataset by clicking View Steps. However, you need to meet the following two conditions.
First, you have the Use or Manage permissions for this dataset, which is to ensure that you can view this table in Public Data.
Second, this self-service dataset has enabled Permission Inheritance.
After clicking View Steps, you can view the internal steps of the dataset, but you cannot edit them.
