Overview
Application Scenario
The method of setting association between two tables has been introduced in data table management, but sometimes you may need to view and manage the associations of all tables in the business package and understand which tables are associated with a certain table, facilitating data analysis and processing.
Function Description
You can view the associations or permission inheritance relationships among data tables in Association View.
Viewing Associated Views
Click Public Data and click Association View at the top of the page, as shown in the following figure.
Then you will go to the association view page where the associations of all data tables are displayed.
Different association views are separated by dashed lines, and tables without any association are located in the bottom row of the association view page, as shown in the following figure.
Viewing Associated Fields
Hover the cursor over a field. Then all associated fields will be highlighted.
Mark some fields as the primary key, that is, the 1 side of the association.
Viewing Associations of a Table
If you only want to view the association of a table in the global context, you can click the icon in front of the table to only display the tables that are directly associated with fields of that table. Clicking the icon again will return to the view of all associated tables.
For example, if you only want to view the association of the BIdemo_Retail_Store Dimension table, you can perform operations as shown in the following figure.
Searching Data Tables
Click the search box in the upper right corner. You can directly enter the table name to search and find relevant tables. The matching words will be highlighted.
Editing Associations
You can click all associated tables or associated fields on the association view page to go to the location of that table, where you can switch to the association view page of a single table to directly edit and modify the association. For example, when you click the BIdemo_Retail_Store Dimension table, you can view the effect as shown in the following figure.
