Overview
After reading Introduction to FineReport and learning what FineReport can do, you may want to install and try FineReport Designer but be unsure where to start. This document introduces the learning paths available in the help documents and explains how they build on one another, so you can follow a path to learn and use FineReport.
Learning Path Roadmap
The document provides the following learning paths:
1. Quick start learning path: Explore FineReport through simple examples and learn its basic features to prepare for further learning.
2. Role-based learning paths: Learn to use FineReport based on your role and actual workplace scenarios. These paths cover report designers, system administrators, and business users.
3. Learning Path of Advanced Function Modules: After completing a role-based learning path, you can explore specific feature modules in greater depth.
Quick Start Learning Path
Report Design Workflow
FineReport supports table design, data query and filtering, data entry, data visualization with charts, report permission management, and more. The quick start learning path uses simple examples to introduce the report design workflow and key report features. The overall workflow is as shown in the following figure.
Quick Start Guide
FineReport supports general reports, aggregation reports, and FVS visualization dashboards. FineReport reports can be viewed on PCs and mobile devices such as phones and tablets. The quick start path focuses on general reports and uses the following examples to help you get started with FineReport.

Role-based Learning Paths
FineReport is a tool for report creation, analysis, and presentation. It helps you easily build flexible data analysis and reporting systems. In an organization, FineReport users generally fall into three categories: system administrators, report designers, and business users.
System administrators: Deploy FineReport on servers, perform routine operations and maintenance, assign permissions, and add reports to the platform.
Report designers: Design reports, large-screen dashboards, and other content based on business users' requirements.
Business users: Provide business requirements to report designers and use reports on PCs or mobile devices to view data.
The following table lists three basic learning paths based on your role in the organization.
