If you have trouble replacing the map folder, you can just replace the world-3d.json under %FR_HOME%\webapps\webroot\WEB-INF\assets\map\geographic.

    map.zi

    • A page of FVS template only supports one Scene Switching Map component. A Scene Switching Map only supports a single scene, and does not support switching between multiple scenes.

    • FVS Scene Switching Map component supports custom geographic information, but does not support custom image maps.

    Adding the Component

Click New FVS Report, select Chart > Map > Scene Switching Map to add the component to the page. The component may take some time for loading.

Note: For plugins prior to V1.3.0, you need to click 3D > Scene Switching Map.

    Editing the Component

There are two ways to edit the Scene Switching Map component. Select the component, click 图片1.png in the upper right corner of the component, or click Content > Edit Component in the configuration column on the right of the designer.

After that, the page will automatically redirect to the Scene Switching Map editing, where you can configure the Type, Data, Style of the map in the attributes panel on the right.

When the configuration is completed, click Back to Big Screen Template in the upper left corner of the editing page to automatically save the map configuration and return to the canvas.

    Type

    1. Map Boundary

You can choose Map Boundary in the attributes panel.

    2. Automatic Model Simplification

Due to the complexity of the Scene Switching Map model and its impact on terminal configuration, it may lead to poor display performance.

Therefore, FVS Scene Switching Map component provides Automatic Model Simplification function. After enabling this function, the map will be automatically optimized based on the complexity of the current map (number of latitude and longitude points) to improve display performance.

Taking the built-in Map Boundary > world as an example, the map effect with Automatic Model Simplification off is as follows.

Note: Automatic Model Simplification is On by default. When switching to Off, you need to wait for a while for displaying the hidden island information.

The map effect with Automatic Model Simplification On is shown below, and you can find that some islands are hidden.

    Data

Point, Line, Column, Area of graph have different settings when binding data. You can choose Map or Drill Map under Area.

The usage of them is the same as general Area Map nd Drill-down Area Map.

    Style

    1. Graphics

Color Style refers to the theme color of the map, currently available in two options: Blue and Blue-green. You can also set Point Shape, Color, Radius Scale and Aperture of Graphics respectively.

    2. Background Style

The map has 6 built-in special effect backgrounds, and you can choose whether to turn them on or off.

    Adjusting Viewing Angle

There are two ways to adjust the viewing angle of a map: adjusting it on the map editing page or on the canvas.

Adjusting on the Map Editing Page

You can simply adjust the display angle of the map by the mouse on the map editing page. For details about mouse operations, see section "Mouse Operations for Adjusting the Viewing Angle".

After the adjustment is completed, click Back to Big Screen Template to automatically save the final viewing angle.

    Adjusting on the Canvas

On the canvas, select the component, click 图片2.png in the top right corner, use the mouse to adjust the viewing angle, and click 图片3.png. For details about mouse operations, see section "Mouse Operations for Adjusting the Viewing Angle".

After the adjustment, click 图片3.png in the top right corner or click any area outside the component to save the final viewing angle.

Note: You can save the adjusted viewing angle only by clicking outside the component area in designers with plugin of versions prior to V1.11.1.
