    Application Scenarios

    In the actual application scenarios, when data anomalies occur, it is necessary to send notifications such as emails and messages to relevant personnel. Traditionally, the person in charge of abnormal data is notified through group chat or phone, or a user group designated to receive alerts. After designation, all users in the designated user group will receive the message. This method is time-consuming and laborious, and cannot provide real-time notifications.

    Therefore, the data alert plugin added the Dynamic receiver selection. When an alert task is created, the person in charge can be associated with data. When data anomalies occur, only the person in charge will be notified through email or SMS, greatly improving work efficiency and saving labor costs.

    Functions

    Dynamic receivers can be set according to users, departments, and roles.

    · User: Supports matching user information in the platform based on username and user ID in reports.

    · Department: Supports matching user information in the platform based on department name and department ID in reports. The complete department structure uses a hyphen to link the parent node and all sub-nodes, and an alert will be sent to the receiver if the department information complete matches.

    If the department name is Technical Support, then messages will be sent to all sub-nodes for the departments of Technical Support.

    If the structure of the department is FanRuan-East China-Technical Support, then users in this department will receive messages (Technical Support is the bottom node).

    If the structure of the department is FanRuan-East China-Technical Support-Technical Support Group A, only Technical Support Group A can receive the message.

    · Role: Supports matching user information in the platform based on role name and role ID in reports.

    Note:

    1. For details about obtaining user ID, role ID, and department ID, see FineDB Table Structure.

    2. When the receiver of the report is empty or abnormal, it cannot be matched. The capitalization of the receiver in the report needs to strictly match the capitalization in the database.

    3. Only supports tables in CPT format and in report blocks of FRM format.

    Installing the Plugin

    Obtain the plugin: Scan the QR Code and add FuanRuan personnel to get the installation package.

    Note: If there are any problems with the data alert plugin during use or trial, you can add and contact the FuanRuan personnel.

    Setting the Platform

    1. After installing the plugin, the super admin needs to enable Hierarchical Authorization and grant the data alert permission for the relevant personnel who create alert tasks in General permission configuration.

    2. The admin logs in to the decision-making platform, clicks Manage > User, and configures the user's username, name, department position, role, email, and mobile phone. For details, see User Management.

    Creating a Report

    This article selects Username as the receiver field.

    Designing a Report

    1. Create a built-in dataset.

    2. Design the report.

    Mounting a Report

    Save the report and mount it to the decision-making platform.

    Note: If the report is not mounted on the platform, you need to enable Template Authentication to use the data alert function.

    Creating an Alert Task

    1. Select the corresponding report and click  button.

    2. Click to create data alert tasks and set as follows:


    Warning name

    Sales Data Alert

    Triggering Conditions

    The selected alert object is Sales Volume, and its name is Sales Volume.

    Alert condition: Send notifications when Sales Volume is less than 2,400.

    Detection Notification

    Detect once every 32 minutes per hour.

    3. Set up Alert notifications, select Dynamic receiver for Receiver, and match according to User. Click Select to select Username as the matching dimension, and select Email as the Notification type.

    4. Set Privacy settings as Visible to all. Since notifications are sent only to receivers and no alert to-do tasks need to be generated, you do not need to select Create alert to-do here.

    Demonstration

    According to the alert conditions, emails of the corresponding data will be sent to receivers  when the sales volume is less than 2,400. Only one piece of data of East China is less than 2,400, so an email is sent to hanwen. When hanwen logs into mailbox, he will receive a warning email.
