Application Scenarios

The admin can use BI Global Style to set a unified style for the dashboards that all users create.

Functions

BI Global Style is built-in with many pre-defined styles and supports customized global styles.

Note:

You can delete, modify or create customized global styles, but you cannot delete, copy or modify the pre-defined styles.

There are two panels in BI Global Style: Style Thumbnail and Preview Effect.

1. Style Thumbnail: displays in two columns with pre-defined styles on the left and customized global styles on the right.

2. Preview Effect: shows the display effect of the dashboard background, Filter Component, Table, Histogram, Multi-Series Line Chart, and Pie Chart.

Application Scope

In addition to BI Global Style, you can also set the style of the dashboard in the Dashboard Style and Graphic Property/Component Style settings.

1. BI Global Style: applicable to dashboards for all users within the platform.

2. Dashboard Style: applicable only to the current template if not saved as a customized style. If saved as custom styles by a user, it is applied to all templates for that user.

3. Graphic Property/Component Style: applicable only to the current component.

4.The priority order of the dashboard style that takes effect: Graphic Property/Component Style > Dashboard Style > BI Global Style.

The system allows adding a custom global style as the admin.

Note:

1. You can delete, modify, or add custom global styles, but you cannot delete, copy, or modify the pre-defined global styles.

2. You cannot add more than five custom global styles to the system.

Adding a Custom Global Style

In Style Thumbnail, click on the right side to add a custom global style. You can add five styles at most.

Add styles to the newly created global style, you can set for Dashboard, Component, Chart, Table and Filter Component. After modification, the preview effect of the settings is displayed on the right side.

After adding custom styles, click OK to save them.

Note:

1. For details about the settings under Add Style, see Dashboard Style.

2. The newly created global style defaults to copying the pre-defined global style that is currently applied.

After completing the settings, return to the Style Thumbnail page, and the custom global style is successfully added.

Modifying Custom Global Style

Select the custom global style that needs to be modified and click to go to the Modify Style interface to modify the style.

After modification, click OK to save the style.

Deleting Custom Global Style

Select the custom global style to be deleted, click , and click OK to delete the style.

Note:

If the custom style has been applied to a dashboard, the style settings remain unchanged for the dashboard after the custom style is deleted.

Renaming Custom Global Style

Select the custom global style and click the style name to rename it.

Note:

Custom global style names cannot be empty and cannot be repeated.

Allow changing the default BI Global Style as the admin. Allow changing it to pre-defined styles and custom styles by using the same method.

Choose System Management > Appearance Configuration > BI Global Style and select the global style that needs to be applied.

Click in the upper right corner of the thumbnail. When it turns blue, the style is applied.

After the default style is successfully changed, when you create a dashboard, the dashboard style uses the set default style.
