During chart drawing, a critical rule applies. Specifically, you need to distinguish data variations and insights by distinctly different colors, shapes, or annotations, thereby enabling viewers to quickly grasp the key information in your charts.
You can highlight required information with markers, making charts clearer and more focused.
Special Display allows you to add Flashing Animation, Image Fill, or Comment for graphics.
For example, you can add a flashing animation and a comment specifying the exact amount for 2020, the year with the highest sales, as shown in the following figure.
You can also set graphic colors in Graphic Property and use colors to highlight required graphics.
For example, when the month-on-month growth rate of the gross profit margin is less than 0, the corresponding column will be displayed in red, allowing viewers to immediately identify the months with abnormal month-on-month changes in the gross profit margin, as shown in the following figure. For details, see Chart Color.
You can mark required data by font color, background color, and shape in Table Property.
For example, you can mark the year-on-year data by colors and arrows, as shown in the following figure.
You can mark the cities that rank top three in repayment amounts, as shown in the following figure. For details, see section "Procedure" in Marking and Sorting the Top Three Data in a Table.
You can mark the values (of the same categories) that are not the same in three columns by setting the background of the cells where the values are located in red. For details, see section "Procedure" in Marking the Inconsistent Data in a Table.
You can use Trendline to display the trend relationship or the causal relationship. After adding a trendline, you can directly identify the relationship between Height and Weight, as shown in the following figure.
You can set a cordon displaying the average value to help you identify contract amounts above or below the average in different regions.
You can divide the area with cordons. Boston Consulting Group Matrix (also known as the Four-Quadrant Analysis Method) serves as a typical example. For details, see Boston Consulting Group Matrix.
