Allowed you to configure the Width and Height settings in Prompt.

Allowed you to insert charts and images, which can be resized via drag-and-drop, in Prompt.

    Application Scenario

During data visualization, you want to convey information intuitively through chart graphic properties such as color, shape, and size. In FineBI, this can be achieved in Graphic Property.

    Function Description

    1. You can configure Color, Size, Label, Prompt, Fine-grained, and other settings in Graphic Property.

    1.png

    2. When a chart contains multiple indicators, All and the indicator names will appear in Graphic Property, as shown in the following figure.

    2.png

    • The graphic properties set in All apply to all indicators. That is, the graphic properties apply to both Contract Amount and Refund in this example.

    • Graphic properties set for Contract Amount apply only to the indicator field Contract Amount, and do not apply to Refund.

    Size

The Size property is used to set the size of elements in charts. Charts that do not support this property include pie charts (donut pie charts, common pie charts, multi-level pie charts), rose charts, area charts (common area charts, range area charts, stacked area charts, stacked percentage area charts), gauges (multi-pointer gauges, percentage gauges, test tube gauges), and K-line charts. Excluding these charts, all other charts support it.

No Field Dragged into the Size Bar

The following sections take a common column chart and a common line chart as demonstration examples.

    Common Column Chart

You can click the icon of Size and adjust the column width and the rounded corner of the column chart, as shown in the following figure.

    3.png

    Common Line Chart

You can click the icon of Size and adjust the line width, as shown in the following figure.

    4.png

Dragging the Indicator into the Size Bar

After you drag an indicator into the Size bar, the indicator values will be mapped to the size of the chart elements. The following sections take the multi-level pie chart and the bubble chart as demonstration examples.

    Multi-Level Pie Chart

    1. You can drag the Contract Amount field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Size bar in Graphic Property. The larger the field value, the bigger the size of the sector, as shown in the following figure.

    5.png

    2. You can click the icon of Size. In the pop-up setting panel, you can set Multi-Level Pie Chart to Yes or No, modify the value of Radius Size, modify the value of Core, and select Filled or Hollow for Core.

    6.png

    Bubble Chart

    1. Drag the Contract Amount field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Size bar. The larger the field value, the bigger the size of the bubble. Apparently, Shanghai, Shanxi Province, and Jiangsu Province have the highest number of enrollments, as shown in the following figure.

    7.png

    2. Click the icon of Size and adjust the radius of the bubble, as shown in the following figure.

    8.png

    Prompt

The Prompt property is used to display information when the mouse hovers over a chart. This property is supported by all charts.

    iconNote:
The default prompt displays the fields added in the analysis area and Graphic Property. Additional fields can be dragged into the Prompt bar to enrich the prompt content.

Take a common column chart as an example. You can click the  icon of Prompt. In the pop-up setting panel, you can configure the Content Format, Width, Height, and Background Color settings, and select or deselect Show All Tips Under Dimension, as shown in the following figure.

    9.png

The following table describes the setting items.

    Setting Item
    Description

    Content Format

You can modify the content and font style of the prompt.

    Width/Height

Starting from FineBI V7.0.7, you can customize the width and height of the prompt.

    Background Color

You can set the background color of the prompt box.

    Show All Tips Under Dimension

    iconNote:

    1. You can click the icon in the upper-right corner of the prompt editing window to add fields that have already been added in the analysis area and Graphic Property.

    2. In the prompt editing window, you can select the required fields to be displayed in the prompt content and delete the fields that do not need to be shown.

    10.png

Starting from FineBI V7.0.7, you can insert charts and images, which can be resized via drag-and-drop, in Prompt.

Take chart insertion as an example. You can insert other components from the analysis subject into the prompt. Parent and child components are linked through dimensions, as shown in the following figure.

    11.png

    Setting the Background Color

You can click the icon of Prompt. In the pop-up setting panel, select green as Background Color. In this way, the prompt background will appear in green, as shown in the following figure.

    12.png

Selecting Show All Tips Under Dimension

    Normally Displaying Prompt Content

You can click the icon of Prompt. In the pop-up setting panel, select Show All Tips Under Dimension. In this way, all information under the dimension will be displayed in the prompt, including column colors, as shown in the following figure.

    iconNote:
After you select Show All Tips Under Dimension, Content Format cannot be edited.

    13.png

Including the Asterisk (*) in the Tooltip

    iconNote:
When dimension fields other than those on the horizontal and vertical axes are dragged into Graphic Property, the same indicator under the same category is split into finer granularity. In this case, if Show All Tooltips Under Dimension is selected, the indicator values in the tooltip will be displayed as an asterisk (*).

    1. You can drag the City field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Color bar, as shown in the following figure.

    14.png

    2. You can click the icon of Prompt. In the pop-up setting panel, select Show All Tips Under Dimension, as shown in the following figure.

    iconNote:
After you select Show All Tips Under Dimension, Content Format cannot be edited.

    15.png

    3. You can click the drop-down icon of Contract Amount on the vertical axis and select Enable Stacking, as shown in the following figure.

    iconNote:
This step is for your comprehension only and can be skipped in the actual operation.

    16.png

    4. As can be seen from the following figure, tooltip information is displayed normally for categories without finer granularity breakdowns, including Sichuan, Tianjin, and Shanxi. In contrast, since Anhui and Shandong are split into finer granularity, their tooltip content includes an asterisk (*).

    Shape

The Shape property is used to configure the shapes of chart elements. The charts that support this property include scatter charts (scatter charts and multi-dimensional scatter charts), bubble charts, and mini charts. Excluding these charts, all other charts do not support it.

The following sections take the bubble chart as a demonstration example.

No Field Dragged into the Shape Bar

You can click the icon of Shape and modify the shape of the bubble, as shown in the following figure.

    18.png

Dragging Dimension Fields into the Shape Bar

You can drag the Region field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Shape bar. In addition to being distinguished by color, different regions will now also be represented by distinct shapes, as shown in the following figure.

    19.png

Dragging Indicator Fields into the Shape Bar

You can drag the Actual Enrollment field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Shape bar. In addition to being distinguished by shape size, different ranges of actual enrollment will now also be represented as distinct shapes, as shown in the following figure.

    Connection Line

    Function Description

The Connection Line property is used to set the connection lines between elements in charts. The charts that support this property include line charts (common line charts, partitioned line charts, multi-series line charts, and dimension comparison line charts), area charts (common area charts, range area charts, stacked area charts, and stacked percentage area charts), and radar charts. Excluding these charts, all other charts do not support it.

    Chart Type

    Description

    Line Chart

    iconNote:
To convert a line chart to a radar chart, at least one dimension and one indicator are required, and indicators cannot exist on both the horizontal and vertical axes simultaneously.
    • Convert to Radar Chart (unselected by default)

    • Style (Polyline, Curve, or Vertical)

    • Line Type (Solid Line or Dashed Line)

    • Mark Point (Yes or No)

    • Null Effect (Continuous, Disconnected, or Zero)

    Area Chart

    • Style (Polyline or Curve)

    Radius

The Radius property is exclusive to pie charts (donut charts, common pie charts, and multi-level pie charts) and rose charts. It determines the radius size of these charts.

Pie Chart (Donut Charts, Common Pie Charts, and Multi-Level Pie Charts)

Take a common pie chart as an example. You can click the icon of Radius. In the pop-up setting panel, you can configure the Radius Size and Core, as shown in the following figure.

    iconNote:
You can modify the value of Radius Size to directly adjust the overall size of the pie chart and adjust the width of the ring (namely, the radius of the hollow inner area) in Core.

    24.png

    Rose Chart

    1. You can drag the Contract Amount field into the Radius bar in Graphic Property. Previously, the contract signing date (year-month) was mapped to the chart color, and the contract amount to the sector angle. Based on this, the refund is mapped to the radius size, as shown in the following figure.

    25.png

    2. You can click the icon of Radius. In the pop-up settings panel, you can configure the Radius Sharing (Yes/No), Radius Size, and Core (Solid/Hollow) settings, as shown in the following figure.

    iconNote:

    1. When Chart Type is set to Rose Chart, and an indicator is dragged into the Radius bar, Radius Sharing will be set to No by default. If it is set to Yes, the rose chart will change to a common pie chart automatically.

    2. You can modify the value of Radius Size to directly adjust the overall size of the pie chart and adjust the width of the ring (namely, the radius of the hollow inner area) in Core.

    26.png

    Angle

    1. The Angle property is also exclusive to pie charts (donut charts, common pie charts, and multi-indicator pie charts) and rose charts. It determines the angle of each sector in these charts.

    2. You can drag an indicator to the Angle bar. The value of this indicator will be mapped to the size of the sector angle.

Take a common pie chart as an example. You can drag the Contract Amount field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Angle bar, as shown in the following figure. (Different contract amounts are mapped to different angle sizes.)

    iconNote:

FineBI V6.0 allows you to drag multiple indicators into the Angle bar. For details, see Pie Chart.

    Heat Color

The heat color property is exclusive to heatmaps.

    1. You can drag the Temperature field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Color bar, as shown in the following figure. (The higher the temperature, the redder the color.)

    iconNote:
When Chart Type is set to Heatmap, the default gradient scheme is Heat2.

    27.png

    2. You can click the icon of Color to configure the Gradient Solution, Gradient Interval, and Opacity settings of the heat color, as shown in the following figure.

    iconNote:
If no field is dragged into the Color bar, only the Gradient Solution and Opacity settings can be configured after you click the icon of Color.

    Text

The Text property is exclusive to KPI cards, text charts, and word clouds, and is used to configure the text content and content format of charts.

    KPI Card

    1. You can drag the Contract Amount field from the left to-be-analyzed area into the Text bar, and the chart will display the corresponding text content.

    2. You can click the icon of Text. In the pop-up setting panel, you can configure the Content Format and Shape Condition settings, as shown in the following figure.
