Day/Week/Month/Year Data Dynamic Display

Expected Effect

You can filter out Previous Day Page View, Previous Week Page View, Previous Month Page View, and Previous Day Page View (namely the page view on March 31st, 2016 and the total page view from the week before April 1st, 2016, in March 2016, and in 2015) by entering the condition 2016-04-01 in Date Filter Component, as shown in the following figure.

Implementation Method

• Add a time parameter in the indicator area.

• Set detail filters for relevant fields in the table component, bind fields with parameters, and set conditions.

• Add a date component in the dashboard and bind the time parameter with the date component.

Component Adding

1. Upload the sample table to FineBI, select the sample data, click Create Analysis Subject, rename it  Internet Channel Statistics, and select the location to be placed, as shown in the following figure.

2. Click the Add Component icon to add a component, as shown in the following figure.

Group Table Creation

Click Group Table and copy multiple Page View fields named as Previous Day Page View, Previous Week Page View, Previous Month Page View, and Previous Year Page View respectively, as shown in the following figure.

Time Parameter Adding

Click the  icon, click Add Parameter, set Parameter Type to Time, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.

Indicator Setting and Parameter Binding

Filter details on the fields Previous Day Page View, Previous Month Page View, Previous Week Page View, and Previous Year Page View and bind the added time parameter for them.

1. Click the ▼ icon in Previous Day Page View, click Filter Detail, click Add Condition(AND), set the field Statistical Time to In Parameter Value and the filter condition to 1DayBeforeWhole Day, and click OK to obtain the page view of the previous day, as shown in the following figure.

2. Set the filter condition for the field Previous Week Page View through the same method as above to obtain the page view of the previous week, as shown in the following figure.

3. Set the filter condition for the field Previous Month Page View through the same method as above to obtain the page view of the previous month, as shown in the following figure.

4. Set the filter condition for the field Previous Year Page View through the same method as above to obtain the page view of the previous year, as shown in the following figure.

Table Creation

1. Drag the corresponding fields to Dimension and Indicator, as shown in the following figure.

2. Filter out empty data in the column First-Level Channel Name, as shown in the following figure.

Filter Component Parameter Binding

1. Click the Add Dashboard icon and drag the created component to the dashboard, as shown in the following figure.

3. Click Filter Component, drag Date Filter Component to the dashboard, select Bind Parameter, click the  icon, and select Parameter, as shown in the following figure.

Effect Display

Set Date to 2016-04-01, as shown in the following figure.

For details, see section "Expected Effect."

If Year in Date Filter Component is set to Unlimited, the filter condition will be invalid. Thai is, if you add Year-Month Filter Component/Year-Month Interval Filter Component in the dashboard and only set the month filter condition with component fields bound to the parameter and the filter condition set to By, the filtering will be invalid.

For example, add another time parameter and set the detail filter condition for the field Previous Day Page View, as shown in the following figure.

Set the filter condition for Year-Month Interval Filter Component on the dashboard edit page, as shown in the following figure.

In this case, the filter condition is invalid.
