    Functional Change

    6.1

    Added Display Quick Setting.

    Application Scenario

When viewing the table component, you may need to quickly and easily switch data of multiple dimension fields or indicator fields. In this case, you can click the Quick Setting button to switch fields.

You need to change the hierarchical relationship of dimensions, for example, using Type of Contract, as shown in the following figure.

    Function Description

The operations for switching fields include hiding/displaying fields and switching the field orders.

Switching operations will not be saved to the dashboard, which only serves as the data analysis when you view the component.

The function is available to detail tables, group tables, and cross tables.

    Example

This section takes ENdemo_Office_Supplies_Data in Public Data as an example.

    1. Create an analysis subject with ENdemo_Office_Supplies_Data, and go to the component editing page.

Only the fields dragged into the analysis area are included in dynamic field switching, so drag all the fields to be used into the analysis area.

    2. Click the  icon of Classification, and deselect Display Field.

The following figure shows the hidden field.

    3. Create a dashboard and drag the component into it.

There are two forms of interaction for dynamically switching fields: not displaying the quick setting and displaying the quick setting.

    Switching Field Hiding

    1. Go to the preview page of the component.

    2. Click the Quick Setting button to see that the hidden field Classification on the editing page is deselected, as shown in the following figure.

Therefore, deselecting the fields in Quick Setting is equivalent to hiding the field.

    3. You can dynamically switch fields to view sales and sales volume in each city.

    Switching Field Displaying

On the dashboard editing page, click the component dropdown and select Display Quick Setting to display the configuration box on the left side of the component.

You can switch fields dynamically in the configuration box. For example, if you want to view sales and sales volume in each city, you can perform operations as shown in the following figure.

    Notes

The hidden fields are not included in the calculation. However, filtering and sorting with the filtered fields still take effect.

If a field has a drill directory, hiding this field will hide the entire drill directory, including all the fields in the directory.

When the dashboard is exported as Excel, hidden fields will not be exported.
