Dynamic Switching of Fields in a Table

Application Scenario

When viewing the table component, you may need to quickly and easily switch data of multiple dimension fields or indicator fields. In this case, you can click the Quick Setup icon to switch fields.

For example, switch the dimension to Type of Contract to obtain the contract amount and quantity for different contract types, as shown in the following figure.

You need to change the hierarchical relationship of dimensions, such as setting Type of Contract to the first level and grouping data by time, as shown in the following figure.

Function Description

The operations for switching fields include hiding/displaying fields and switching the field order.

Switching operations will not be saved to the dashboard when you view it.

The function is available to detail tables, group tables, and cross tables.

Component Creation

1. Use the Contract Demo table to create a component. Click the Group Table icon in Chart Type, and drag the fields into the analysis area, as shown in the following figure.

2. Click the icon of Type of Contract, and select Display Field from the drop-down list, as shown in the following figure.

3. Add the component to the dashboard, and click the Preview icon to go to the dashboard preview page.

On PC

Since the Type of Contract field was hidden when you edited the component, it is not visible on the preview page by default. Click the icon , tick Type of Contract only, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.

In this way, you can also hide or display indicator fields.

On Mobile Terminals

Notes

The hidden fields are not included in the calculation. However, filtering and sorting with the filtered fields still take effect.

If a field has a drill directory, hiding this field will hide the entire drill directory, including all the fields in the directory.

When the dashboard is exported as Excel, hidden fields will not be exported.

Note:

The function is not supported on mobile terminals.

1. Click the icon  and tick Contract Signing Time and Type of Contract to view the contract amount of various contract types in different years.

2. If you need to use Type of Contract as the top-level dimension when viewing the dashboard, you only need to click and drag the field to adjust the order and then click OK, as shown in the following figure.
