Functions
You can perform the following operations on the data fields: hiding fields, renaming fields, adjusting field order, and changing field type.
1. Adding Field Setting Steps
In the data editing interface, you can add steps by clicking Field Settings or clicking + > Field Settings.
2. Field Adjustment in the Header
You can click the header to modify data in that column.
After setting the header, this step will be automatically added to the Field Settings procedures. If it's already in that procedure interface, another step will not be generated.
Example
The built-in demo dataset Contract Fact Table in FineBI will be taken as the example.
You can find it in My Analysis, click Edit to enter the editing interface.
Renaming Fields
Methods:
1. Enter the field settings interface, click to modify the field name Contract ID to Contract Code.
2. Directly modify the field name in the header and press Enter.
Hiding Fields
If you do not need to display a field in the data, you can hide it.
Note: If you want to add fields to the data with some hidden fields, you can directly enter the former step Field Settings and re-select needed fields.
Methods:
1. Unselect the Contract Code field, this field will no longer be displayed in the preview area.

a. Delete a column:
Delete a column directly in the header.
b. Batch delete multiple columns:
You can hold down the shortcut keys ctrl/shift to select multiple headers, and click the header drop-down list to delete those columns.
Adjusting Field Order
Methods:
1. If you want to move the Community field to the place before the Region field, you can drag the field icon in the field settings interface.
2. Drag the header to change the position as needed.
Hold down the shortcut keys ctrl/shift to select multiple headers, and drag the selected headers to move columns.
Changing Field Type
Methods:
1. You can directly change the field type in the Field Settings.
For example, you can modify the Sales Date field type to text.

2. You can directly modify the type in the table header.
