    Application Scenarios

    KPI indicator card is used to directly display KPI values of the selected fields, such as sales, gross profit, gross profit margin, and other indicators.

    Characteristics

    • Advantages: suitable for highlighting important indicators.

    • Disadvantages: display text only.

     

    Example

    Preparing Data

    1. Enter the system, click My Analysis, select a folder, and click New subject.

    2. Click Local Excel, and click Upload to upload data.

    3. After uploading, click OK.

    Creating a Component

    1. Click Component in the lower left corner.

    2. Drag Contract Amount to Indicators, and select KPI Indicator Card under Chart Type.

    Note: When you drag the field to Indicators, make sure the value of the field is not empty, otherwise the KPI indicator card will not be effective.

    Text Settings

    Fixed font size is ticked by default with the default display effect of KPI indicator card.

    You can also untick it and customize the display effect.

    1. Setting the Content Format

    a. Untick Fixed font size.

    b. Click in the bottom right corner of Content Format.

    c. In addition to automatic style, the editor provides custom style as well, which allows you to set font, font size, and alignment.

    Select the content in the editor, set its format, and click OK in the lower right corner.

    2. Setting the Shape

    Click text > Add conditions to choose the shape and its color.

    3.     Modifying the Field Name

    To modify the field name, you can click text > Content Format, or simply modify it in text.

    In addition to the text format above, you can also set more style properties in Graphic Properties, and set Legend, Horizontal Grid Line, Vertical Grid Line, Background, Adaptive Display, etc. in Component Style.

    Switching the Field

    If you need to switch the field of the indicator card, simply drag the original field away and drag in the field you want. For example, if you need to switch Contract Amount to Received Payment.

    Note: After you switch the field, the color and shape set in text before will become invalid.

    Changing Colors According to the Indicator Value

    1. Drag the indicator field Contract Amount into Color, and Time of Contract into Horizontal Axis.

    Note: After you drag a field into Color, the color previously set in text will be invalid.

    Click Filter > Add Condition > Please Select Field > Time of Contract, choose top N and N = 3. By doing so, Time of Contract field only displays the first three values.

    3. Select the content in the text editor, click 图片1.png in the lower right corner of Content Format, and adjust the font size to 30.

    4. Click text > Custom to customize the settings of Shape.

    5. Click Color to set the colors of different value ranges.

    6. Click Component Style > Legend, untick Display All Legends.

    7. The effect is shown below:

    Notes

    Distinct Count and Counter

    For example, if you want to display the client records in the KPI indicator card, simply click Convert to indicator on Client Name, then the KPI indicator card will display the result of distinct count.

    If you want to display the records of Client Name, simply drag Counter into text and rename the field.

    In dashboard editing or preview interface, the chart is shown below:

    You can solve the problem in the component in three ways: adjusting Adaptive Display, enlarging display interface, and reducing the font size of the text.

    1.     Adjusting Standard Adaptation to Overall Adaptation

    Click Component Style > Adaptive Display, and adjust Standard Adaptation to Overall Adaptation, then the text content will automatically adjust with the size of the component in the dashboard.

    2.     Enlarging Display Interface

    1.     Click Edit in the dashboard preview interface to enter the editing interface.

    2.     Select the indicator card component, drag the border outward to enlarge the display interface until it displays appropriately.

    3.     Reducing the Font Size of the Text

    See section "Setting Content Format".
