My Analysis
--Analysis Capability Optimization--
Dimension Filter Level Adjustable to the 4th Level
You can adjust the dimension filter level to Quick Calculation Filter.
For example, to rank each city by sales in Jiangsu Province among all cities in China, you need to first rank each city by sales through Quick Calculation, and then display the data of Jiangsu Province by filtering. This requires you to adjust the filter condition of the province to the 4th level.
For details, see Dimension Filter Level Adjustment.
DEF Function Performance Optimization
For details about performance logics and use recommendations of DEF functions, see DEF Function Usage Guideline.
--Component Display Optimization---
Field Adding Optimization
Text components, component titles, and analysis documents allow you to add all fields in a subject.
For example, previously you can add only fields already used in the current dashboard to the dashboard, but now you can add any field in the subject, as shown in the following figure.
Fields inserted into text components, component titles, and analysis documents can be displayed as detailed values when not linked or filtered.
For example, the dimension field Region added into the text component will be displayed as All when not linked, as shown in the following figure. After you select Display Default Data from the drop-down list, the detailed values Northeast China, Central and South China, East China, North China, Northwest China, and Southwest China will be displayed.
For details, see Inserting Fields into Text Components.
Sequence Number Configurable for Rich Texts
Component titles and text components allow you to add ordered and unordered sequence numbers, as shown in the following figure.
For details, see Component Title Editing.
Text Wrapping Supported for Chart Axis Labels
When all axis labels displayed are too long, you can select Auto Wrap, as shown in the following figure.
For details, see Setting the Category Axis for Charts.
Paginator Supported for Tables
When Expand/Collapse Row is disabled, the total number of rows will be displayed below the table. You can enter a page number in the paginator at the bottom right to jump to the corresponding page.
For details, see Table Format.
Image Component Configurable Separately in Dashboard Style
You can separately configure the background, rounded corner, and border for image components.
For example, partially transparent images can have their background configured to be transparent for better visual effects, as shown in the following figure.
For details, see Dashboard Style.
Platform Management
User Data Management Added
As the system usage time increases, a large number of datasets have been accumulated in the public data/user analysis. To facilitate data management for administrators, User Data Management is added to manage the data in the analysis of all FineBI users.
The original Public Data Management function and the new User Data Management function are located together under System Management > Data Management.
For details, see Data Management.
Global Search Concurrency Controllable
The SystemOptimizationConfig.fullDataSearchThreadLimit parameter is added to control the maximum number of global search concurrencies.
When a user exceeds the search limit, a message prompting the user to try again later because the search is too fast is displayed on the frontend.
This parameter is set to -1 (namely no limit) by default.
For details, see FINE_CONF_ENTITY Visualization Configuration.
Scheduled Cleanup by Recycle Bin
Auto Cleanup Setting is added into Recycle Bin for automatic scheduled cleanup by the system, as shown in the following figure.
For details, see Recycle Bin.
Optimization of the Restart Reminder After Backup Restoration
If the project is not restarted immediately and operations are performed based on the project cache, the operations may be lost after a subsequent restart.
In this case, after restoring FineBI, you need to manually restart the project immediately. Therefore, a mandatory system reminder is added, as shown in the following figure.
For details, see Backup and Restoration.
Adapting Template Performance on the O&M Platform to FineBI
The O&M platform provides the Template Performance function to help FineBI administrators in:
(1) Development efficiency: This function improves the template performance detection/troubleshooting efficiency, and development efficiency of business personnel.
(2) User satisfaction: This function enhances system stability, optimizes the actual user experience, and improves user satisfaction.
(3) Cost-effectiveness: This function detects and optimizes performance issues from the source, and provides more comprehensive troubleshooting information, reducing the maintenance cost on performance issues for administrators.
For details, see Template Performance.
