Application Scenario

You can use the Folder Update function to update all the data in a folder.

Function Description

Folder Update supports an immediate update or a scheduled update. 

You can set whether the folder is updated along with a global update.

A folder update triggers the update of all single tables in the folder.

Choose Public Data , select the folder to be updated, click the  icon, and select Folder Update from the drop-down list, as shown in the following  figure.

Go to the Folder Update setting page. You can set whether the folder is updated along with a global update.

Update: The folder will be updated along with a global update.

Not Update: The folder will not be updated along with a global update.

Immediate Update/Scheduled Update

Click Update This Folder Now to update the folder immediately.

Click Schedule Setting to set a scheduled update for the folder.

You can check the progress of a folder.

Select the folder that is being updated, click the  icon, and select Update Progress from the drop-down list.

On the Update Progress page, you can view the update progress of all tables in the business package, as shown in the following figure.

For tables that have been updated, the update completion time is displayed.

For tables that are being updated, the progress is displayed.

For tables to be updated, "Waiting for Update..." is displayed.

Note:

In a scheduled folder update, tables in the folder are automatically grouped by relevance and updated following the order below:

All groups are updated concurrently.

In a group, the parent tables will be updated first, then the sub-tables, and finally the associated tables
