    Application Scenario

    Chart

    To directly compare and view data changes in different time periods (for example, you may want to visually view the changes of Contract Amount and Received Payment in different years), you can perform an analysis with Indicator Name as the dimension field and use different colors to represent different indicators during chart component creation, as shown in the following figure.

    Cross Table

    Cross tables allow you to drag Indicator Name into row/column dimensions to design complex headers and display more data information.

    For example, drag Indicator Name into the row dimension. Then the sales degree and values for each year of indicators (including Inventory Amount, Gross Profit, and Sales Volume) are displayed based on rows, as shown in the following figure.

    If you drag Indicator Name into the column dimension, the sales degree, product type, and values for each year of indicators (including Inventory Amount, Gross Profit, and Sales Volume) are displayed based on columns, as shown in the following figure.

    The field Indicator Name is not supported in the to-be-analyzed dimension area of group tables and detail tables.

    Function Description

    You can use Indicator Name (representing all names of indicator fields in the current chart component) in the to-be-analyzed area as a dimension and drag Indicator Name into the corresponding chart properties.

    Data Preparation

    1. Log in to the system as the admin, click My Analysis, click a folder, and click New Subject.

    2. Click Local Excel and click Upload Data, as shown in the following figure. Click OK.

    You can download the sample data Regional Data Analysis.xlsx.

    Component Creation

    1. Click Component in the lower left corner.

    2. Click the Stacked Column Chart icon in Chart Type, drag the following fields into the analysis area, and group Contract Signing Date by Year, as shown in the following figure.

    Indicator Name Using

    Drag Indicator Name to Color in Graph Property to differentiate colors based on indicators, as shown in the following figure.

    Effect Display

    Contract Amount and Received Payment in the chart are displayed in different colors. For details, see section "Application Scenario."

    Cross Table Example

    Component Creation

    You can download the sample data Product Sales Information.xlsx.

    1. Click the Cross Table icon, drag the corresponding fields into Row Dimension, Column Dimension, and Indicator respectively, locate Indicator Name in Cross-Table Field, and drag Indicator Name into Column Dimension.

    2. Group Date by Year and obtain data in 2022 and 2023 through filtering. You can obtain the comparative analysis result of the sales degree and product type in 2022 and 2023 for each sales indicator, as shown in the following figure.
