Converting Indicator Fields into Dimension Fields

Application Scenario

If you need to drag value fields into the Dimension bar, you can use the Convert to Dimension function.

Function Description

The default grouping method for value fields in Dimension is Interval Grouping. If you want to list all values, you need to change the grouping method to Group Records with Same Value.

Create an analysis subject and upload the example data, as shown in the following figure.

Conversion from Indicator to Dimension

On the component editing page, select the Lump Sum field, click the icon xxx and select Convert to Dimension from the drop-down list, as shown in the following figure.

Component Creation

You can use the fields converted from Indicator to Dimension to create components. Drag the converted field Lump Sum into Dimension and the Count field into Indicator. The Lump Sum field is automatically grouped into intervals.

The default grouping method for value fields in Dimension is Interval Grouping. The Lump Sum field is divided into five groups, as shown in the following figure.

You are allowed to reorganize the group. For details, see Interval Grouping.

Grouping Method Changing

If you need to list all the values, you can change Interval Grouping Setting to Group Records with Same Value to view all Lump Sum data.
