Functions
The left part of the component editing interface is the area to be analyzed where data can be processed.
Number | Function | Explanation |
1 | Filtering the tables displayed in the area to be analyzed | All: displays all table data in the subject. Tables with relationships are displayed in one row, while those without relationships can be filtered separately. |
2 | Searching for the content in the area to be analyzed | Allow searching table names, fields, and parameters. |
3 | Settings for the area to be analyzed | Support Add calculation indicator, Add Parameter, sorting fields, and expanding and folding tables. For details about functions, see the sections below. |
4 | Fields in the area to be analyzed |
Counter: the number of rows in each table Cross-table fields is made based on the data from the associated tables in Model View, or is TargetName.
|
5 | Parameter | Displays the parameters added to the component. |
Synchronization Logic of To-be-analyzed Area in Component Editing Interface
For components made from the same table or associated tables on the same model, the settings of their fields in the area to be analyzed will be synchronized in real time.
Note:
1. The settings in the analysis area will not be synchronized.
2. Synchronizing the field settings in the area to be analyzed will not affect the data tables.
For example, you have calculated gross profit with Table A in Component A to analyze the gross profit of different product categories.
Click Add component to directly analyze the gross profit of different provinces in Component B. You do not need to copy Component A, which simplifies operation and improves field reuse efficiency.
The synchronization logic of the components made from unassociated data tables is as follows:
The synchronization logic of the components made from associated data tables is as follows:
Adding Calculation Indicators
Click > Add calculation indicator to select fields for calculation. For example, you can proceed with the following steps to calculate product profit.
Fields calculated by multiple tables will be displayed under Cross-table fields.
Adding Parameters
Parameters can be added and bound in components. You can also bind parameters in filter components of a dashboard, which can pass values to the target components.
For example, set filter condition as 2020-12-01, then you can see the data for 15 days before 2020/12/01.
Sorting Fields
You can choose Sort by type or Not sorting to adjust the display the order of fields.
Sort by type means sorting by the types of fields, including time, text, and value.
Expanding/Folding Fields
Click Expand all to expand all the fields within groups. Click Fold all to fold all groups.
More Settings
In addition to the above operations, you can also process fields in the area to be analyzed.
Function | Explanation |
Create a drill directory | The first step to dynamic drill |
Geographical role | The first step in making a map |
Convert to indicator | Analyzes the indicators by grouping them according to values |
Convert to dimension | Counts the number of distinct values in a column |
Detail Filtering | Filters the detailed data of the original table |
Copy | Allows copying fields |
Delete | Allows deleting the added fields |
