Overview
After creating a dashboard, you may want to share it with others. Here are several ways for you to choose.
Index
Type | Application Scenario | Document |
---|---|---|
Collaboration | Sometimes, you need to edit dashboards when viewing dashboards shared by other users. It can be achieved by collaborating with others on analysis subjects. | |
Applying for Publication | The business personnel requests to mount the dashboard to the directory, and users with corresponding directory viewing permissions can directly view the dashboard in the directory. | |
Sharing Dashboards Through Public Links | The users who are shared with may not have a FineBI account, nor installed FineBI on PCs. They just need to click the shared public link to view the dashboard. | |
Sharing Dashboards to Directories | The shared users should have already been added to the FineBI system. You can bypass the administrator and directly share the dashboard with specified users in the FineBI system. |
Getting Started Example: Sharing Analysis.
Notes
Incompleteness in Displaying Shared Data
Problem:
The data table has set row and column permissions. A general user can only view the user's own information, while a leader can view all information of the leader's department.
A general user created a dashboard with the user's authorized information and collaborated or requested to publish it to the directory. However, the leader can only view the general user's data in the dashboard.
Cause:
Because of permission restrictions, the dashboard created by users with low permissions cannot show complete data.
Solution:
Users with higher permissions can view data within permissions by saving as/pasting and copying the dashboard.
Example:
Regarding a data table, the users with basic permissions can only view their relevant data, users with higher permissions can view the data of the whole department, and the super administrator can view all data.
For example, the leader Alice has 100 data permissions, and the subordinate Bob has 1 data permission.
Alice creates a dashboard with a data table and makes Bob view it by collaborating or sharing. There is no problem, and Bob views 1 piece of data.
Bob creates a dashboard with a dashboard and makes Alice view it by collaborating or sharing. There is a problem that Alice can view only 1 piece of data. Alice needs to save it as a subject or copy and paste the subject to restore and view the 100 pieces of data.
