Overview
Application Scenarios
In actual application scenarios, notifications about abnormal data (if any) need to be sent to relevant persons through ways like email and SMS. Traditionally, the responsible person for the abnormal data is notified through group chats or phone calls, or the notification is sent to all members in a designated user group, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and not real-time.
Therefore, the Data Alert plugin adds the Dynamic Receiver function, which allows the responsible person to be associated with the data during alert task creation, and to be notified through email or SMS if abnormal data occurs, greatly improving work efficiency and saving manpower costs.
Functions
For details, see section "Creating an Alert Task" in Introduction to the Data Alert Plugin Using.
Differences between designated receiver and dynamic receiver are as follows:
Designated receiver: designate a user group and all users in the group can receive alert task notifications.
Dynamic receiver: designate a user group and only the person responsible for the data meeting triggering conditions can receive notifications.
Preparation
Environment Preparation
1. Install the Data Alert plugin and configure relevant permissions. For details, see Introduction to the Data Alert Plugin Using.
Creating a Dashboard
Sample data: Region Sales Statistics.xls
Create an analysis subject, upload the sample data, create a table component, and add the component to a dashboard.
Creating an Alert Task
Click Create Alert Task on the dashboard preview page.
Set Dimension to Username and Receiver to Dynamic Receiver, and match the user information in the platform with the dimension field Username in the component.
When the user (hanwen) in the component meets the triggering condition (the sales amount less than 2400), the platform separately sends alert messages to the corresponding user (hanwen).
The specific settings of the data alert task are shown in the following figure.
Viewing Notification
Only the user hanwen (the only one meeting the triggering condition) can receive the alert notification.
