    System Management

    Permission

    FAQSolution
What permissions does a subordinate admin of FineDataLink have?  Can specific data permissions be assigned to certain users? For details, see Permission Scope of Sub-Admins.
The System Management Permission Management menu is inaccessible. You do not have the required permissions. Contact the super administrator to assign the permissions.

    1. Can I configure the permission on a single scheduled task?

    2. Does FineDataLink support hierarchical management? I want to assign a user the permission to manually execute a specific task.

Yes. For details, see Scheduled Task Management Permission.
Currently, only administrators can use the Data Development function. How can I assign permission for other users to use it?For details, see Data Platform Use Permission.
How to permit users to create pipeline tasks? For details, see Pipeline Task Management Permission.
How can I assign Authorization permissions on task folders or specific tasks in Data Development? For details, see Scheduled Task Authorization Permission.
I cannot find where to configure data connection permissions in FineDataLink.   Data connection authorization permissions are not enabled. For details, see Overview of Data Connection Permission.
Can I assign permissions on O&M Center?Permissions of tasks in O&M Center are the same as those configured on scheduled tasks, pipeline tasks, data services, and others. For example, if you are assigned Management permission on a scheduled task, you can manage this task in O&M Center.
How can I assign permissions on folders in Data Development to other users? For details, see Scheduled Task Management Permission.

    FineDB

    FAQSolution
After configuring an external database in System Management, do I still need to create a data connection in Data Connection Management to connect to the external database? You can configure the data connection as needed.
Why is it necessary to configure an external database?

FineDataLink has a built-in HyperSQL database (HSQLDB).

The HSQLDB cannot be accessed by multiple threads and may become unstable in a cluster environment with large amounts of data. It is suitable for a local trial of product functionality. Projects intended for formal use require the configuration of an external database.

A FineDataLink system with an external database configured is stable in cluster environments or when experiencing large amounts of data.

Which database (internal or external) should I select during the initial setting upon first login? Does this database only store system configuration information? For details, see FineDB Database Introduction.
I could no longer find the execution records for March 2 in the FINE_DP_EXECUTE_RECORD_X table after FineDataLink was restarted yesterday. The Task O&M function has been refactored in V4.0.17, and FINE_DP_EXECUTE_RECORD_X has been migrated to FINE_DP_WORK_EXEC_RECORD.

    1. Which table should be used to retrieve task names?

    2. Which table should be used to retrieve recent edits?

    FINE_DP_OPERATE_HISTORY
How can I find the name of a data development task by work ID?Use the work ID for filtering in the FINE_DP_DATA_DEV_WORK table.
Where are user permissions stored in FineDB? For details, see FineDB Table Structure.
How can I connect FineDataLink to the built-in FineDB database? For details, see the "Connecting to the FineDB Database" section in FineDB Database Introduction.
How to check for external database connections? You can choose System Management > System Setting > General to check for external database connections.

    Plugin Management

    FAQSolution
Can product plugins be automatically updated?Yes. If you need to disable automatic plugin updates, see the “Disabling Automatic Update Function” section in Server Plugin Management.

    Platform Log

    FAQSolution
Where is the fanruan.log file stored?

The logs are stored in the file fanruan.log in FineDataLink installation directory\logs and are also generated in the Tomcat server's log file catalina.out.

For details, see the section "Platform Log" in Log Introduction.

How can I view FineDataLink logs? For details, see the section "Platform Log" in Log Introduction.

    1. Will the system automatically clean up scheduled task logs?

    2. The loading speed of the Task O&M page slows down.

For details, see the section "Cleaning up Operation Logs and Service Logs" in Log Introduction.

For details, see Automatic Cleanup of FineDataLink Execution Records.

    Resource Migration

    FAQSolution
Will resource migration be affected if projects are of different minor versions?Yes. Resource migration may fail if the minor versions do not match.
How to check if the version matches or not?Choose System Management > Registration Management in the FineDataLink system to view the version.

    1. Currently, FineDataLink is deployed on my local machine. If we migrate it to a server later, will the existing tasks still be available?

    2. How to migrate synchronization tasks?

The tasks will be available. Synchronization task migration can be achieved through resource migration.
I exported the resource file and tried to import it into another FineDataLink project, but a version mismatch prompt was displayed during the import. What should I do?Upgrade one system or roll back the upgrade of another system to ensure that both FineDataLink projects are of the same version.

    Login Related Question

    FAQSolution

    1. Can the login password for the data platform be reset or recovered?

    2. I forgot the super administrator password of FineDataLink.

    3. I forgot the FineDataLink login password. How can I retrieve it?

For details, see Admin's Password Modification/Password Reset Upon Password Forgetting.
Regular users can contact the administrator to reset the password.

    1. What is the default username and password?

    2. Is there an initial password? I didn’t set the username or the password.

After deployment, you will enter the initial setting page where you can customize the username and password.
I was forced to log out as someone logged in with my administrator account. How can I check the IP address of that login?Choose System Management > Intelligent O&M > Platform Log > User Behavior, and select Operation Type as Login. You can view the login records through filtering.

    Data Connection

    FAQSolution
The number of data connections exceeds the concurrency limit. You can resolve this issue by increasing the maximum number of data connections.
I encountered an error indicating that the driver was not found while configuring the IBM Db2 data connection. The driver has not been uploaded. For details about uploading the driver, see IBM Db2 Data Connection and Driver Management.
The error persisted after I uploaded the driver. You did not select Custom and use the uploaded driver when creating the data connection. Select the newly uploaded custom driver instead.

    1. The data connection failed with an error message of "wait millis 50000, active 50, maxActive 50."

    2. The number of data connections exceeds the concurrency limit.

    Increase the connection limit.
Why is the Edit option not displayed for a data connection? You do not have the required Management permission on that data connection. For details, see Data Connection Management Permission.

    System O&M

    FAQSolution
What is the ft_InspectionReport_XXXXXXX.html file?This file is a health inspection report generated by the system. For details, see Health Inspection.

    FAQSolution
How can I stay logged in continuously?Tick the Keep Me Logged In option on the login page. This allows you to remain logged in for up to 14 days.
