I. Overview
1) Slope lines split a cell into multiple areas.
2) You can input different text into these areas to function as the interpretation of data.
3) Prerequisite: Insert Data Columns.

II. Steps
There are three ways to insert a slope line.
1. Method 1
In the right-hand pane, click the drop-down box and select Insert Slope Line

2. Method 2
In the upper toolbar, click Insert->Cell Element->Insert Slope Line.

3. Method 3
In the upper toolbar, click the slope line icon.

4. The [Slope Line] window pops up
1) Input: Product | Sales | Region
2) Keep the divergent direction as default: Diverge from top left to bottom right. Click OK.

5. Change the cell size and font size. Add cell borders

6. Preview the effect

7. Double-click the cell to edit the slope line
Change to Diverve from bottom left to top right. Click OK.

8. Preview the effect

III. A Simple Application of Slope Line
1. Use DB query to generate a dataset
Drag table [Sales_Volume].

2. Preview the dataset
You will utilize three data columns: [Region], [Product] and [Sales_Volume].

3. Insert a slope line in B3
1) Input: Product | Sales | Region.
2) Keep the divergent direction of the slope line as from top left to bottom right. Click OK and adjust the cell size.

4. Drag data column [Region] to B4

5. Drag data column [Product] to C3
1) In the right-hand pane, change the Expand Direction as Horizontal.
2) The concept of Expand Direction is explained in Cell Expansion.

6. Drag data column [Sales_Volume] to C4
In the right-hand pane, change [Data Setting].

7. Select B3~C4
Center them and add cell borders. Preview the effect.
