Multi-Pointer Gauge

Application Scenario

The multi-pointer gauge, which is like a clock or a dial, has scales (representing values) and pointers (representing dimensions and pointing to the current value). The angle of the pointers represents values.

You can directly display the progress or actual situation of an indicator through the multi-pointer gauge, as shown in the following figure.

Basic Requirement

Chart Feature

Advantage: The multi-pointer chart can directly display the progress or actual situation of an indicator.

Disadvantage: The display information of the multi-pointer gauge is limited. You cannot add too many indicators.

Data Preparation

1. Log in to the system as the admin, click My Analysis, click a folder, and click New Subject.

2. Click Local Excel and click Upload Data, as shown in the following figure.

You can download the sample data Product Table.xlsx.

3. After the upload, click OK.

Component Creation

1. Click Add Component in the lower left corner.

2. Click Gauge in Chart Type, click the first gauge icon in Graphic Property, and drag the fields Inventory and Order Quantity to Pointer Value, as shown in the following figure.

Note:

The pointer value is the scale position that the pointer points to. You can generate multiple pointers by dragging multiple indicators to Pointer Value.

Color Setting

Click Color and set the colors of the ring, pointer, scale values, cab, and chassis, as shown in the following figure.

Size Setting

Click Style and set the gauge length, as shown in the following figure.

Label Setting

1. Drag the fields Inventory and Order Quantity to Label, as shown in the following figure.

2. Click Label, click the edit icon in Content Format, select the label fields, and customize the font style, as shown in the following figure.

Note:

You can modify the maximum value of the gauge by clicking Target Value.

The steps for creating a semicircular gauge are the same as those in section "Circular Gauge", except that you need to click the second gauge icon in Graphic Property.
