Bar Chart

1) Definition：Bar chart is a graphical representation that uses horizontal bars to depict varying quantities across categories, allowing for clear comparison. 2) Advantage：The primary advantage of bar charts lies in their ability to clearly communicate data differences, making them an essential tool in business and research for presenting straightforward data comparisons. However, they are less suitable for analyzing trends or large sets of grouped data. Employing bar charts enhances the interpretability of data, promoting efficient communication in professional settings.

3) Application Scenario：Bar charts, akin to horizontal column charts, utilize elongated horizontal bars to represent various quantities and sizes graphically. 4) Implementation Method：After creating a column chart in FineBI's editing page, you can exchange fields of the horizontal and vertical axes to obtain a horizontal column chart, also known as a bar chart.

5) Chart Feature：

Advantage: Bar charts can clearly display the quantities to help you compare the differences in the data.

Disadvantage: Bar charts are not suitable for trend analysis or scenarios with too many groups or categories.

1 General Bar Chart

After creating a general column chart, click the button to exchange fields of the horizontal and vertical axes.

2 Stacked Bar Chart

After creating a stacked column chart, click the button to exchange fields of the horizontal and vertical axes.

3 Multi-Series Bar Chart

After creating a multi-series column chart, click the button to exchange fields of the horizontal and vertical axes.

Note:

To make the chart beautiful and the data clear, you are not advised to drag too many indicators on the horizontal axis of multi-series bar charts.

4 Percentage Stacked Bar Chart

After creating a percentage stacked column chart, click the button to exchange fields of the horizontal and vertical axes.

Note:

The following figure shows the effect of filtering by year and there are only six results.

Notes

You can adjust the width of the column in the Size bar, or adjust the display effect in Adaption Display of Component Style.
