Function Description
You can design various types of reports in FineReport. Functions such as Condition Attribute, Filter, Dynamic Parameter Injection, Display, Custom Display, and Pagination can be used for designing a template, as shown in the following figure.
The following explains in detail what functions these identifiers represent, respectively.
Example
Filter Identifier - Small Yellow Triangle
Filter (marked by a small yellow triangle in the lower left corner) has been set in cell B9. The following figure shows the effect of expanding cell B9.
You can double-click cell B9 to view the filtering condition that has been set. In the pop-up dialog box, you can select Filter to see the filtering condition Order ID Equal to Product ID that has been set.
Pagination After Row Identifier - Small Green Triangle
Paginate After Row (marked by a small green triangle in the upper right corner) has been set in cell A10. The following figure shows the effect of expanding cell A10.
The dashed line on the bottom border of cell A10 indicates that all cells behind row 10 will be displayed on the next page. Similarly, the Paginate Before Row setting has the same identifier as the dividing line above the cell.
Condition Attribute Identifier - Small Red Triangle
Condition Attribute is marked by a small red triangle in the upper left corner. You can set Condition Attribute within templates (for example, in cell D9). The following figure shows the effect.
Display Identifier - Small Blue Triangle
Display is marked by a light blue triangle in the upper left corner. You can set Display within templates (for example, in cell E4). The following figure shows the effect.
Parameter Injection Identifier - Small Dark Blue Triangle
Parameter Injection is marked by a small dark blue triangle in the lower left corner. You can insert data columns (for example, the detailed information of shippers) into templates. The following figure shows the effect.
For details about Parameter Injection, see Parameter Injection Use.
Custom Display Identifier - Small Purple Triangle
Custom Display is marked by a small purple triangle in the upper right corner. You can double-click a cell and set Custom Display in Advanced. For example, you can set Custom Display for the cell where ShipperAddress is located. The following figure shows the effect.
Header Sorting - Small Grey Triangle
Select a cell, choose Cell Attribute > Expansion > Sort After Expansion, and set Header Area. After the setting, a small grey triangle will appear in the upper right corner of the cell, as shown in the following figure.
Repeating the Title Row/End Row - (H)/(F)
After you select Repeat Title Row, (H) will appear behind the row number. After you select Repeat End Row, (F) will appear behind the row number. The following figure shows the effect.
Repeating the Title Column/End Column - (HR)/(FR)
After you select Repeat Title Column, (HR) will appear behind the column number. After you select Repeat End Column, (FR) will appear behind the column number.
Paper Size - Dashed Line
Dashed lines in the designer indicate the boundaries (pagination lines) of the paper, as shown in the following figure.
For details about changing the paper size, see Page Setting.
